A/N I tried *sighs*
#13
You had been friends with the Brooks boys since you were about the age of two. Being that you and Beau were the same age, you always had almost all of your classes together growing up. When you were really young, you couldn't pronounce Beau's name right, so instead, you called him "Boo" and it stuck ever since.
Now you stood behind the camera, practically all grown up, watching as your best friends shot each other with a BB gun for another one of their "daresundays". You shook your head and let out laughs in disbelief as the five boys continuously tortured each other with the painful plastic pellets. Finally, it was Beau's turn to be shot. Of course, his luck brought him to be shot right in the gems at close range. He stood there traumatized, waiting to be hit. You could see the fear in his eyes, just wanting the extreme pain to be over. After he was hit, he curled in a ball on the ground and moaned out in pain. You shook your head once again and let out a small laugh, until you realized that Beau's pain was much worse than it looked. He laid there shaking, taking in short, sharp breaths and you knew that only meant one thing; he was having an anxiety attack. Few people knew this about him, but Beau always suffered from anxiety attacks when he was younger, which normally was followed by vomiting. You quickly ran to his side, pulling his hat off of his head to cool him down. "Come on Boo, sit up." You grabbed his shaky hand and forced him to sit up straight in order to get him to breath properly. He gripped your hand tightly, as you rubbed gentle circles on his back, trying to get him to breath normally. "Boo. Boo, look at me. In the eye. Look." You had to be gentle, but assertive whenever this happened; it was the only way to get him to cooperate. You forced him to look you directly in the eye, guiding him and eventually getting his breathing back to normal. He sat there panting, as you held his head to your chest and gently kissed his temple. You brushed a few strands of hair off of his sweaty face, before he leaned over and vomited...as usual.
*later that evening*
"[Y/N]..."
"Hmm?..." you turned around on your balcony to see Beau standing there, "Oh, hi Boo." He walked over to you and pulled you into a comforting hug.
"Thank you for today," he mumbled in your ear. You pulled away and looked at him slightly confused.
"What do you mean?" You leaned against the balcony, waiting for his answer.
"[Y/N], I haven't had an anxiety attack since we were twelve. I forgot how bad they were, but yah know. You kind of saved me, and you're the only one who can calm me down." He smiled and looked down at his feet.
You were blushing like mad, but you managed to speak with a smile. "Boo, you know I'll always be here for you."
He gave you a toothy grin before pulling you into another hug. You leaned in to kiss his cheek, but he turned his head so that you were nose to nose. He looked you directly in the eye, for what seemed like an hour, but then his eyes flickered shut, and his perfect lips were on yours. It took you a minute before you actually realized that you were kissing your best friend, but at the same time, you knew it was right.
"WOOO!!! YEAH I KNEW IT!!" You quickly pulled away, embarrassed and unaware that anybody had been watching. Jai, Luke, Daniel, and James stood in the doorway, clapping and whistling. You turned back to Beau, who took your hand and gently intertwined his fingers with your own. He brought your hand up to his mouth and gently kissed it.
"I'll always be there for you."
"I know you will, [Y/N]. I know you will."
