The evening approached quickly and soon we had brought all our luggage into the house. "So who's sleeping where? There are two bedrooms." Isaac said.

"Well," Quinn said, "Violet and I could share the bigger bedroom at the end of the hall since it has two beds and then you can have the other room."

Isaac nodded and picked up one of his suitcases. "Sounds good to me," he said as he headed upstairs.

Quinn turned to me. "Hey," she said in a soft voice, "I'm sorry about earlier. I really am. I shouldn't have been so rude and laughed."

I smiled, "It's fine. It really is. I was just tired from the car ride and everything and I took my anger out on you guys. I should be the one apologizing."

Quinn reached down and grabbed her pink pull-string bag and pulled it onto her back. I went ahead and grabbed my stuff also. With all the stuff I could carry, I headed upstairs behind Quinn, who could barely carry one of her heavy suitcases up the steps. "You need help?" Isaac asked from the top of the stairs.

"No no no. It's fine. I totally love carrying this heavy stuff up the stairs and struggling to hold onto it," Quinn said sarcastically.

"Keep giving me attitude and I won't help you at all," Isaac laughed.

"Could you just help with the damn luggage?"

Isaac came down a few steps and grabbed one of the bags from her. "You're weak," he whispered jokingly in her ear.

"If I didn't have these bags in my hand right now," Quinn said, "I would beat your ass."

We all laughed and continued up the stairs. Once we reached the top, Quinn dropped her stuff onto the ground. She let out a groan and sighed. "I can't carry all this. It's so heavy."

I walked past her and carried my stuff into the bedroom down the hall. I looked around at how big and neat the room was. I chose the bed on the left side of the room that was in front of a window. Quickly, I sat my stuff down on the white bed and let out a sigh of relief. I heard soft footsteps behind me, causing me to turn around. There stood Quinn with an angry look upon her face. "You left me," she said loudly. "Why didn't you help me?"

Confused by her sudden rage, I tried to force a small smile to ease her anger. "Quinn, I was going to come out and help you," I said. "That's why I rushed in here. I was going to set my stuff down and then help you."

"You're lying," she said. "Liar, liar pants on fire!"

"I'm not lying, Quinn. Come on. What's going on with you?"

Isaac walked into the room, interrupting Quinn and I. "Hey, I brought your bags," he said, putting Quinn's luggage on the other bed.

Within only a few seconds, Quinn's expression had completely changed. A small smile curved her lips upward and her eyes became wider. "Aw, thank you, Isaac," she said in a sweet tone. "At least you could help me."

"Ooh," Isaac laughed. "She's getting shady."

I rolled my eyes. "Quinn," I said, "what's your sudden problem with me? Ever since we got here, it seems like you hate me. Did I do something to upset you?"

"I'm just kidding around, Vi! Loosen up some," she said with a smile.

A feeling of relief fell upon me, but I was still unsure if she was actually just joking. She seemed so serious and her anger seemed genuine. "Anyway," Isaac said grabbing his phone, "I heard there's this nice restaurant down the road that we could go to tonight for dinner."

   "No."

We both looked at Quinn. "What do you mean 'no?' Why not?" Isaac asked.

"I want to have dinner here tonight," Quinn said.

"We don't have any groceri--" Before I could finish, she rudely cut me off.

"We're eating here. Okay? Okay. That's that."

Isaac and I looked at each other with confused looks. I shrugged and sighed, "Whatever, Quinn. You're making dinner then."

"Fine with me," she snapped. "You guys will love it."

"I doubt it'll be as good as the restaurant down the street, but okay," Isaac said and left the room.

Quinn stared at me, waiting for me to do something. I simply sat down on my bed and pulled out my phone. "You guys can be irritating, you know?" she said quietly.

"I'm going to take a nap," I said, ignoring her comment.

She let out a quiet groan. "Ugh," she said. "You guys are so boring."

I rolled my eyes and climbed under the blankets on my bed. "Just go hang out with Isaac or something," I suggested.

Before she could answer, I put my earbuds in my ears and turned up my music as I began to doze off.
