Chapter Three: The Loveseat

You walked back into the apartment, with Corey a little to close for comfort. You blushed angrily and glared at him. "Too close." You said, trying not to kiss the bottom of his jawline. He looked at you the same and laughed, "Sorry. Its just-- never mind. Come on, Hero's about to announce the "lucky pair" for the loveseat." He said, then turning around to walk back into the den. Hero turned to us and gave us a sly smirk and held the papers. He had already told everyone and they all stared at us. "Kill me now." You said, but you turned to Corey and he looked dissapointed and hurt. Hero knew that at any scary movie you curl into a ball, near the closest thing to you.

You sat down, far enough from Corey to be just uncomfortable enough to annoy you. After a few stupid jumpscares, you finally decided to slide a bit closer to Corey. "Hi." He whispered at the new development of interest. All you did was smile. Another jumpscare came and went, one after the other. Until Ross and Scott walked around the corner into the kitchen. "BOO!!" They yelled after a few minutes of debating on how to scare you.

You screamed and jumped and curled into a ball, falling onto Corey's legs. You untucked yourself from a ball and held him tightly. "Ross, you bitch." Was all Corey said. "What about Scott? He did it to!!!" Ross argued. "Hey sorry ________, you didn't really deserve that. It was stupid of me to think it would be a good idea." Scott quickly apologized. "I can't really tell him off because I dont like getting yelled at by him." Corey said and returned his gaze to the movie, putting an arm around you. He started to rub small circles on your back, calming you down a bit. "Thanks."

The movie credits were rolling and it was obvious that you weren't going to move from the loveseat. The lights were turned back on for a small snack break. You stood up to stretch but before you could sit, there was a knock at the door. The door opened, and you instantly knew who it was. "Am I hallucinating or did I see Max and Drea kissing, in the hallway?" You laughed at you friends stupidity.

"Why yes. They were Hayley."
