"Sam!! Rebecca! Wake up!" I yell as I groagily get up from my bed, wiping my sleepy eyes with the back of my hand. Mornings always get me down. My eyes blinked open only to be greeted by the sight of two wide green orbs.
"Woah.." I mumbled, gasping in surprise as I realised who it was. Rebecca. "Oh, Rebecca. Good morning."
She smiled thinly at me then walked away from my bedside and out of our bedroom door. Glancing to my side, I saw that Thomas had already left for work. Why couldn't I be such an early bird like him? I guess I can't get everything. Wait, and why did Rebecca just enter my room? Did Sam even show her our room, even after he himself knew that no-one but Thomas and I were allowed inside? He'd have to had shown her our room and I'd have to speak to him about that.
My nightwear was a simple flowing, lilac top that had spaghetti straps that were lined with cream lace, on my lower body I had on a soft material of shorts that were mostly cream but had lilac embroidered flowers going down the sides . My matching cream dressing-grown with darker purple splatters all over it was hanging on the inside of our bedroom door so I strolled over, reaching up and unhooking it from the hanger that was fixed on the door. The material brushed easily over my skin as I shrugged it on, it was still warm meaning that Thomas must have put it on the radiator this morning. Awww, he's such a gent.
"Breakfast," I mumbled, remembering the time. "I need to make breakfast for the kids." Kids. I smiled brightly to myself as the word made my whole world light up. The life I was currently living was the one I had dreamt about as a young child. A loving husband, an young, beautiful daughter, and an older son who will look out for his sister. Money wasn't too bad either, so everything was...stable. Stable being a good way to live, afterall it was continuing to support her dream life.
Giggling with happiness, I swung my bedroom door open and stepped out into the landing;I was just able to see Sam disappearing down the stairs with his shirt on inside-out, his tie was loosely hanging below his shirt collar, and he was busy cleaning his teeth with way too much tooth-paste that could easily stain the carpets if the susbtance fell.
"Sam Johns, get up these stairs right now and clean your teeth in the bathroom like a normal child!" I strained my voice, standing in my doorway with a hand on my hip and my eyes on the stairs. A soft moan and curse was audible from downstairs, which was followed by loud, frustrated foot-steps on the stairs.
Sam's face was tinged with pink as he faced me with screwed up eyes, and I knew he was annoyed. He opened his mouth to speak and I had to act quickly, I could see all that tooth-paste plunging onto the elaborate carpet below, not even a shed-load of bleech could get that bugger out.
I rapidly placed a hand infront of his face, stopping the tooth-brush from leaving his foaming mouth. "No Sam, just go in the bathroom and brush your teeth. I'll even finish off your tie if you ask politely." I requested, keeping my voice calm even though I was slightly irritated that we had to rehearse the same dilemma as last Thursday all over again. Why didn't he just see that I wasn't mad at him, I just didn't want my carpets ruined as concequence of something so...basic, simple.
He just grunted then trudged unhappily into the ba6throom, using his foot to slam the door-shut behind him. I bit my lip, trying to shrug away my agitation with my son's obvious ignorance and instead went quickly down the stairs.
Entering the kitchen I noticed that Rebecca was not present, however where else would she be? Then an idea struck me, maybe she was watching TV in the living room. My eyes lit up as I thought of her small, delicate appearnace and gorgeous green eyes. My life was practically perfect...on the days when Sam chose to behave himself that is.
