~ Shadows POV ~

We slowly make our way over to my car, I parked it a few blocks over in hope that nobody would break in. Even if they did they wouldn't live long after. However Amy was being surprisingly calm, she didn't once try to pull away from my grasp like she did the day before. But she was still staring off into space like a dumbass, something was definitely on her mind.

I let go of her hand and opened the door of my car, she paused before willingly climbing in. What a sudden change of events. She would have done anything to escape me but now she's more then okay with the idea of me and her being alone together in a locked car.

I got in my side and started to car, I couldn't help but notice her putting on her seat belt. How cute, still worried about her safety. I leaned over and locked her side of the car. The last thing I wanted her to do is get scared and jump out. I don't look forward to cleaning up that mess.

I started to make my way back to the house. I quickly pulled my phone out of my pocket and glanced at it, to my surprise rouge only called thirteen times. I left in such a hurry I'm sure she was worried, not that I cared of course, she shouldn't waste her time thinking about me, I'm more then capable of caring for myself.

" where are we going ?" Amy asked as she glanced over at me. As long as she is willing to stay calm I don't mind answering a few of her questions ..that is if as they aren't too evasive.

" we are heading back to the house. " I said without looking at her. It would best for me to keep my eyes on the road by judging on lack of sleep I've had. The drink I was served at the bar didn't give me the boost of energy I was hoping for but it will have to do.

" what's your name ?" She asked as she adjusted the seatbelt a little.

" and I suggest you keep your questions to yourself unless they are reasonable." She's stupid if she thinks it's that easy to get me to trust her with my real name. It was years before I trusted rouge enough with it, not that I told her anyway. Her nosy ass found out on her own. There was a few moments of silence before she spoke again.

" I'm sorry about your arm." She mumbled as she moved her hair behind her ear. Weak, weak, she is so weak, weaker then I thought. Apologies are the upmost sign of weakness besides asking for help. I guess hanging out with that blue freak has made her soft. Which doesn't surprise me.

" don't apologize, it makes you seem weak. Hasn't anyone taught you anything ?" I chuckled. She gave me a stunned look as if she didn't except me to say that. The truth hurts doesn't it sweetheart ?

" what do you mean, weak? " she questioned. I left her question unanswered, I don't have time to explain this to her right now.

I pulled into the driveway of the house, Amy waisted no time getting out of the car. I led her up to the door and unlocked it. To my annoyance rouge was standing in the living room pacing back and forth. I didn't see any sings of knuckles so he probably got impatient and left without her. They would normally scope out the streets at this time.

I grabbed Amy's hand and pulled her into the house. She probably would have walked in on her own but I don't want to take any chances of her backing out. At this point it would be extremely foolish for her to run off again, I'm not much for second chances, let alone three.

" black !" Rouge yelled as I shut the door. She started to run over to me but stopped when she saw Amy.

" why are you still here. You were supposed to have left already. " I asked, it wasn't my intention to be rude.
