Chapter Two - Oopsie

Did that really just happen? He didn't really mean me did he? No, that'd be ridiculous.

Niall gives him a playful nudge, "It's a girl, mate."

Liam clears his throat uncomfortably, "I meant she. What's her name, Collin?"

That's what I thought.

I give a small smile and rub the mare's neck, "Her name is Diamond."

Liam steps up and begins stroking her face, which she eats up, nuzzling and playfully nipping at his hand. Diamond loves to be the center of attention. Niall steps up and gives her neck a pat too.

"I've always wanted to go horseback riding. Do you think maybe you could take us out sometime?" Liam asks me, all the while still stroking Diamond's face.

I nod, smiling, "Sure! But maybe we should get this photo shoot over with, yeah?"

He laughs, "That'd probably be smart."

I find myself looking Liam up and down. I never really was a fan of One Direction and I haven't heard a whole lot of Liam's solo music. However, looking at Liam, I think I could become a fan pretty quick. He's taller than me and more muscular. With kind brown eyes and lots of tattoos, which are super sexy.

"Collin! There you are! Good! I see you've met the star," someone says behind me causing me to turn around.

"I'm Paul. The manager. Liam, you need to get inside and get ready. Oh hey Niall. Collin, I want you and your horse to follow Ron here to the set," the short and pudgy man says, gesturing to another man that arrived with him.

Liam looks back at me and gives me a small smile, at least I think it's me that he's smiling at. I smile back at him for a moment, but then I set to work. I tie Diamond up to the side of the trailer and get busy getting all the tack out. I set the English pad on the mare's back before placing the saddle on and fastening all the straps. Diamond takes the bridle like a champ.

"Mr. Kensworth, we're ready for you whenever you are," Ron says.

"She is ready," I reply while untying the lead and stepping forward, Diamond in tow.

He leads us through a large barn-like sliding door and down a wide hallway until we reach a huge open set. There are several backdrops set up with lots of props. I can see Niall standing back watching while Liam gets the finishing touches on his hair done. I guess Niall is just in town and Liam invited him to set. I could also see dancers getting ready, stretching and the likes.

I've been on TV; talk shows and commercials, things such as that. But this was a different scene than I was used to. A bit more chaotic with people running around shouting various things.

"We're ready in five!" Someone shouts from somewhere.

The filming is a blur of choreography, lip syncing, and Diamond, who did everything they wanted her to do perfectly.

"Great work everyone! That's a wrap!" Paul yells to the whole crew as I'm walking towards a scantily dressed female dancer holding Diamond's lead.

"She did awesome!" She says to me as she hands over the rope.

"Thanks!" I smile at her, "So did you guys! And you did a really good job with her, thanks for that."

She nods and goes to join the fellow dancers who are in the corner toweling off sweat and drinking from water bottles.

I walk Diamond towards the exit but someone's voice stops me, "Hey Collin! Wait a second!"

It's Liam and I pause and turn to find the man jogging up to me.

"Oh hey Liam, what's up?" I ask, giving the guy a friendly smile. God, why does he have to be so attractive?

"I just wanted to thank you for coming. It was really awesome getting to have Diamond in my video. She did a really awesome job," he says, wiping a bead of sweat off of his forehead. I guess all the choreography wore him out.

"Oh it was an honor to be a part of it. Kenworth Stables really appreciates the opportunity," I respond genuinely.

"There's also a party later tonight, do you think you'd want to join? Niall is going also. I can text you details later?" Liam says, completely stunning me silent.

Did Liam Payne just ask me to go to a party with him?
