Everything was getting better. Joel was back at work, not needing to worry about Ellie. "Glad to have you back," Bow patted Joel on the back when he returned to Guarding. Joel smiled and nodded. Ellie still maintained her job at the barn, taking care of the horses and the animal supply. Her and Joel's relationship grew stronger and stronger everyday. She sometimes called him dad, but stuck with Joel. This is was a happy ending. Or is it?
