The Last of Us: Our Story Ch. 2

Ellie rode on her horse for what seemed like hours. Her tears warmed her face from the cold. She looked back, making sure no one followed her. Joel was most likely following her tracks, but there was no sign of him. Right now, she didn't care for Joel. She didn't know how she felt. Sad, Mad, Betrayed? She made sure she took all these twists and turns, not wanting to be found. It then began to snow very hard, making it hard to see. Once Ellie saw a little cabin, she yield her horse to a stop and slowly walked in. She closed the door and walked up to a little love seat and sobbed.

Joel burned all over his body from the cold. He didn't care though, he just had to find Ellie. He knew she would be furious with him, but her safety mattered to him. He couldn't see a thing through the thick snow falling heavily. He was stiff all over as well, and could barely move. His horse seemed to become weaker by the minute. Joel decided that he should rest up, which his body needed. He hopped off his horse and lead in by the reins. All of a sudden, his body froze and he fell to the ground with a thud, and everything when black.

Tommy went back for more men, Joel had not returned, so he may have found Ellie and is just waiting out the storm. He walked through the gates where Maria was waiting. "No sign of Ellie?" Maria asked with worry. "Or Joel," Tommy sighed. "What happened?" Maria questioned. "Well, I suggested we split up. I found nothing on my side so I went back looking for Joel, but... there was no sign of him," Tommy sighed once more. "I came back for more men," Tommy finished. "Well... be careful please," Maria smirked and kissed his cheeked. "I'll try," He muttered.
