Soft grass asks me the question
Forget me not?
As bare feet approach harsh pavement
The cool meadows plead.
I must leave.
Two beloved homes beckon
When I am only one me
Duty calls, I must leave.
Regret the decision before it is made
Unknowingly, I depart with more than sorrow
Because, approaching the wooden door of my house,
Then my room
Fragrant warmth from my pocket glows
Where I find
A forget-me-not
