I felt horrible when I woke up. I should have acted that way, I know he has been having problems lately. Maybe I should go apologize..
I quickly get some clothes on and head for the door. "Mom! I'm going to Alfie's!"
"Okay Hun."
As I'm walking over to Alfie's I notice a certain smell.. I knew this smell, but I couldn't quite figure out what it was.
I knock on the door with determination.
"Mrs. Huffman? Are you home?"
Mrs. Huffman comes to the door with tears in her eyes.
"Mrs. Huffman, what's wrong?!"
"It's Alfie.. He's gone missing.. I can't find him anywhere."she said, her voice shaking.
"Don't worry I'm going to find him, I gotta go, I'll tell my mom to come over. What ever you do don't tell her were I went, just say we went to the park."
And with that I ran home to pack my backpack. Lace up my combat boots and leave.
