Protector

Alpha yawned as she woke up, leaning back and feeling warm scales behind her. "Hunh..?" She turned and noticed the sleeping face of Blue, her muzzle laying on Alpha's lap. "Oh.. it Blu!" Alpha quietly cheered, slowly getting out of Blue's grasp and looking around, itching to explore. She rumbled softly and started walking around the empty bungalow, soon wandering out and unknowingly catching the attention of a larger carnivore.
-Timeskip, in the jungle-
Alpha looked around the jungle, rumbling and chirping in curiosity as she wandered. A sudden noise, a loud hoot like a owl's, sounded nearby. "Huh??" The small hybrid froze, searching for the source of the sound. Something was wrong, it was quiet. Way too quiet. Alpha narrowed her eyes, looking around more carefully now, turning in a circle. A low snarl sounded behind her, causing Alpha to freeze before spinning to look into the cold, dark eyes of a young Dilophosaurus. She screeched in surprise and jolted away from the Dilophosaurus, who tried taking a chunk of her arm. She looked it over, knowing it was a hostile dinosaur, not friendly like Blue, and it wanted to rip her to shreds. She whimpered, backing away and getting cornered by the larger Dilophosaurus. The Dilophosaurus snarled and moved closer to his smaller prey, unaware he was about to get ambushed. He was about to roar loudly in attack before a loud shriek rang out and a blur of slate gray with dual sapphire blue streaks raced out of the jungle and Blue sprang onto the Dilo's back, digging in her large back claws and sinking her teeth into his neck. Alpha shrieked in alarm and backed away, watching the two predators fight and noticed Blue had the advantage of her surprise attack. The loud crack of the Dilo's arm bone being crushed by Blue's jaws as the Velicoraptor raked her foreclaws across the Dilo's face rang out, followed the Dilophosaurus' roar of agony. The Dilo apparently decided that the prey he chose was worth way too much trouble and rammed himself into a tree, knocking Blue off, and ran off. Blue snarled and shrieked after him, then after calming herself down, went over to the terrified Alpha. She chittered softly, and nudged the young child, purring softly. "Blu.. wha happen..?" Blue chittered and chirped, explaining it to Alpha. "Oh.. hier yu fight to live... or yu die..?" Blue nodded, watching the young hybrid carefully. "Did yu.. fight to protect mei..?" Blue nodded again, nuzzling Alpha gently. "..Tank yu, Blu.."
