It Started on her 14th Birthday

Chapter 2- The Escape

Days went by, along with failed attempts to escape. They put us in separate cages but we are still in reach of each other.
"We're never going to esccpe, are we?" I croaked, teras welling up in my eyes.
He turned over to look at me, "We will soon, I promise."
~Later that night~
Jacob's P.O.V.
I look over and see my little sister sleeping peaccefully. I move away from her and focus on escaping. Tonight seems like the perfect night for another attempt.
Before Dr. Sullivan and Dr. Martin put us together, I discovered my ability to shapeshift. I turn myself into a small mouse and crawl through the bars.
Silently creeping down the halls, I've planned the escape route and found the room with the keys. Bad news is, I have to get through all of the scientists.
As if on que, Dr. Martin walks out the room. I quickly change to look almost exactly like him and walk in the room.
"H-hey Mart, why don't you stay and have another drink," A co-worker says with a heavy smell of alcohol on his breath.
"Nah, I'm good for now, maybe next time." trying to avoid being in there too long.
I walk out, unlock Chrystal's cage, and pick her up, careful not to wake her.
Third person P.O.V.
Jacob quickly walks through the halls, hoping no one is around the corner. Fortunately, they make is outside without any trouble. Once Jacob thinks he's far enough, he decides to shift back to his normal form.
"This seems like a good spot to camp for now," he says to himself while laying her in the grass.
"Now let's see where can we go in the morning."
