Chapter 2
All the classes were done for the day; students and teachers headed out to the parking lot or out to the buses and headed home. I was about to walk away from the campus and start running to the little appartment I kept wishing I could call home but Jacob Smith stood in my way. ''Uh Sierra right?'' He asked not seeming to move. ''Yeah, what's it to you?'' I replied stubbornly. ''I just wanted to tell you that today is your lucky day'' He told me pretending not to notice my rudeness, ''Oh and why is that?'' I said hoping this conversation wouldn't take too long. ''I'm inviting you to go on a date with me, I'll be at your house in 2 hours so be ready'' Jacob said. ''You don't have to worry about picking me up, because I'm not going on a date with you'' I said trying to walk away but Jacob stood in front of me again. He grabbed both of my arms, moved me back onto the campus and knocked my body into the closest tree but farther away from view of anyone. 'Oh my gosh what do I do? Scream for help? Try self-defense? No one knows me around here; no one will know I'm gone. Ugh I knew guys were nothing but trouble!' I told myself.
''Hey, no one declines a date with Jacob Smith. Every girl in our town wants me! Whats wrong with you? The most popular, hadsome guy in school asks you out and you straight up say no?!'' He wispered angrily. ''Yes, I said no! Now let go of me!'' I said wanting to scream. He had a confused look on his beautiful face and let go of my arms, he looked like he was embarrased of the little fit he threw just then. ''Listen Sierra I'm..'' he started to say but my hand covering his mouth stopped him. ''Look, Jacob you don't have to worry about me telling everybody about this. Just leave me alone and nothing will happen. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go and start my homework and make something to eat'' and that was the end of our conversation.
I tried my best to erase what just happened but like always it'll be stuck in my brain like all my other bad memories. ''Finally I'm back home'' I said out loud, I didn't like the little appartment but I was happy I could call something home. My homework was all done and I was starting to get hungry but there wasn't anything to eat. ''I gotta watch my money'' I said looking at how little money I had until I started my new job. It was around 10 at night, not a very good time to be walking alone at night, but I needed food. A few steps into the park for a short-cut that's when I noticed a big group of what looked like collage guys standing a few feet away close to a big campfire and a lot of what looked like beer bottles. Only one word came to my mind when I saw them watching me stand there 'trouble'.
I felt like I couldn't move when I saw them start to move towards me, staggering because they were more than likely drunk. Their little talks became loud laughs. ''Hey boys look, it's a little school girl comin' to party with us!'' one of the oldest of them yelled. ''Yeah looks like my type to. Mabye one of us will get lucky?'' another said winking at me. ''Hey baby girl why don't you com'on over an stay a while huh?'' I knew it wasn't a question. ''I'm not here to party, I was just passing through'' I said quietly. ''Awe girl I know you wanna party, let's go back to my place, see what happens, by the way the name's James'' James said as he got closer to her with every word. ''I'd rather not go anywhere with you or your buddies'' I told him with courage in my voice as I tried to back away. They all circled around me so I couldn't get away. James came so close to me that I could smell the alcohol in his breath, and could feel his hands grabbing mine. Before I could say another word one of the others hands rub something across my lips it stayed there until I went unconcious. I could still here them, all murmuring above me ''So who gets her first?'' and ''We can't do it out here someone will see us, let's go back to James' place''. That's when I truly blacked out.
When I woke up my eyes looked around the unfirmilier room, scared and angry. My whole body ached and I stunk of god knows what. It was a simple looking room. Posters of bands on the wall, a large blue rug covering the hard wood floor, a queen sized bed with pillows thrown all over it and CD's scattered on the floor. I stood up from the little couch that my body was sprawled on and walked across the room to the bed. I felt very tired for some reason, so I figured since I probably wasn't going home anytime soon I might as well get some sleep. The bed looked comfy. Laying on that big bed reminded me of when my parents were still alive, I would always sneak into their room and cuddle up beside their sleeping bodies. That memory was to much for me right now. While I lay their rememebering my parents I cried myself to sleep.
When I awoke I felt something move next to me, I turned my body over to see that Jacob was laying next to me. Proping his body up by his elbow he looked at me, smiled, and said ''Well good morning Sleeping Beauty''. I pinched myself so many times it left a bruise on my arm. ''This isn't a dream. Just to let you know'' he said still smiling. ''What's going on? Where am I?! Why am I here?!'' I asked as I got up from the bed angrily!
''Whoah hey, calm down. Sierra you're here because I saved you last night.'' he told me smoothly getting up from the bed. ''Wait what're you talking about Jacob? Saving me last night? What happend, tell me everything!'' I kept questioning and demanding. Jacob just stood there looking me in the eye.
''I was feeling werid about what happened yesterday after school, I just couldn't figure out why I did that. So I went for a walk at around 10 to clear my head. I started walking through the park. That's when I saw you and a bunch of collage guys. At first I never thought anything of it, but then I saw you fall and didn't get up. I walked closer to them and I heard what they wanted to do to you. I had to do something! I don't know why but I had to save you, even if it meant something horrible happening to me.'' he began. ''They didn't get the pleasure to even touch you, I ran over to you, picked you up, and ran here to my house.
