October 12, 2050 Wyoming

"Why can't I ever get a day to relax?" I say as I walk to the fighting arena with Hannah.

"We get weekends off, Mariah."

"Ugh, it's not enough time though."

"Quit complaining, and let's go." Hannah punches my shoulder lightly.

"Okay, big sis." A smirk forms on my face.

"I'm not your sister."

"You sure act like it."

"Whatever."

"C'mon! Let's go!" I start running ahead of her.

"Okay, okay, I'm coming!" She runs after me.

I run into someone while looking back at Hannah. 

"Watch where you're going, wimp!" I run into the guy from the day I was knocked out.

"Back off, Max." Hannah says, behind me.

Anger builds up inside me, as he kicks me and walks away. 

All I see is red.

"Don't!" Hannah yells at me.

Before Hannah can grab me, I run at him.

I jump on top of him and punch him, really hard. We both fall to the ground with a thump. "What are you-"

 "You. Make. Me. So. MAD!" I punch him a lot. I kick his 'hot dog' and punch his face again. A/N Haha! Hot dog! Sorry, I like humor. Anyway, continue. *giggles*. I punch his whole body again, before kicking him again. He doesn't even have enough time to defend himself.

I get off of him and make sure he's out cold by kicking his side and punching him again. I breathe heavily as my rage continues. "Say goodbye to your pretty face!" 

I punch him, and his nose starts to bleed. I smirk.

"Ugh! I hate you so much!" I try to hold back my tears—but I start to cry.

"Mariah! What have you done!?" Hannah finally reaches me with a hurt knee. I assume she tripped.

"I-Im so sorry." I drop to the ground in a fit. I hug myself as I lean against a rock. I start sobbing.

"Mariah."

I continue to sob while hiding my face on my knees. "I-I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry."

"Well, at least you got your revenge." Hannah attempts to hug me.

"Don't touch me!" I slap her hand.

"Okay, I'm sorry! Why don't you just get ahold of yourself?"

I sob more. "I...I can't!" I get up and run away.

I hide behind a couple of bushes for 10 minutes until I don't hear anything anymore. I then get up and sit on a nearby rock close to the forest—out of sight. I hug my knees and cry.

"Why? Why me? Of all people I have to be the one who gets constantly bullied by a jerk!" I try to whisper while crying.

I think for a while. "Maybe I'm the bully. I beat him up..."

I stare at the forest for a while while trying not to cry—I'm acting like such a baby.

I don't say anything. I just admire the view while I calm down.

"It looks so peaceful...so calm." I stare at nearby flowers and tall trees with lush grass surrounding everything.

My tears finally start to fade—I continue to hug my knees. I feel the cool breeze blowing my hair. I smell nature and everything beautiful in it. I let everything sink in and I close my eyes for a while.

"I'm meant to be here." I open my eyes again. "Why does no one else admire it? There must be someone who enjoys this."

"I wonder what it's like in there." I look into the darkness. "It can't be that bad, can it?"

I think for a while. "I want to take a trip here. Just to see what it's like. Maybe I'll like it. Besides, I want to prove everyone wrong. The forest isn't dangerous!" I stand up and start to walk back.

I hear footsteps near me. I turn around in defense—for fear I'll be attacked. 

Right as I'm about to punch, someone grabs my fist and hugs me. "Hannah!?"

"Oh, I'm so glad you're back! I thought I'd lost you forever! What were you doing!?" She let's go of me and sees I've been crying.

"Hannah..." I look at her. "I want to go to forest. By myself."
