Darcy yawned and rolled over. She groggily looked over at her alarm clock; it was just after 10:00 in the morning. She sat up and stretched. She was surprised Rydel hadn’t awakened her up at the crack of dawn like she usually did. She slipped out of bed and walked downstairs, still wearing her pajamas. It had been a little over 2 weeks since she’d come to L.A. She had adjusted to life with the Lynches fairly quickly. Already she felt as though she were a part of the family. She skipped down the last few steps and rounded the corner to the kitchen. Riker was standing by the stove, pouring milk into a bowl of Frosted Flakes. “Morning sunshine!” she said cheerfully. He turned around and gave her a scornful look before leaving the room, never saying a word. She rolled her eyes and reached into the cabinet. Riker hadn’t spoken a word to her in the two weeks that she had been living with them, not since the family meeting where he had so rudely told her that he hated having her living in their house. She truthfully didn’t care. She was going to be with them for an entire year, maybe more. By acting like a jerk he was only making the situation miserable for himself. She personally, was having a great time. She didn’t intend to let him make this a miserable year for her. She put the box of Lucky Charms back into the cabinet and reached for the milk Riker had conveniently left out on the counter. “Hey Darce!” Rydel’s voice came echoing across the kitchen. Darcy turned and saw her leaning against the kitchen doorway. “Mornin’ Delly!” she replied cheerily. Rydel crossed the room and leapt up onto the countertop. “Sleep well?” she asked perkily. Darcy nodded, searching through different drawers for a spoon. “I did actually, because someone actually let me sleep today.” She finally located a spoon and sat down at the kitchen table. Rydel giggled sheepishly. “Well no one else is up as early as I am and I get bored!” she said defensively. Darcy ate in silence for a few minutes. “So what’s on the agenda for today?” she asked finally. Rydel shook her head. “Absolutely nothing. Rocky and Riker are heading to the studio to do some writing. I think Ryland is hanging out with Mackenzie. Mom’s out shopping and dad’ll probably be in his room watching football. So it’ll pretty much be me, you, and Ross all day.” Darcy nodded, taking another bite of her cereal. “I wonder if Sean has anything planned for today.” She questioned. It had been a few days since either her or Ross had sent out one of their teasing tweets. By now the fans were beginning to get curious. Neither of them had tweeted or Instagrammed anything directly implying that they were dating, but their posts were progressively getting flirtier. “How much longer until you guys actually go out in public?” Rydel asked. Darcy shrugged. “I’m not sure. I don’t think there’s a set time frame. Sean really wants to build up curiosity before we actually go out together.” They sat in silence for a few more minutes. “So…I hate to bring this up…” Rydel started. Darcy looked up at her curiously. “But you do realize that you and Ross are going to have to kiss, right? Like, a lot. All the time. Like a couple would.” Darcy nodded slowly. “Yeah, I know. Sean pretty much made that clear before I even signed the contract.” Rydel thought quietly for a few more minutes. “So have you guys talked about it or anything? Are you going to…I don’t know…practice or something?” she asked awkwardly. Darcy laughed. “No, we haven’t talked about it at all. And I don’t think we’re going to practice either. I guess we’ll just go with the flow when the time comes.” She stood up and placed her bowl in the sink before turning and walking in the direction of the living room. Rydel leapt down from the counter and followed closely behind.  She stepped into the living room and made her way over to the couch. Ross was sitting down, intently staring at the game he was playing on the flat screen TV on the opposite wall. She flopped down next to him. “Morning!” she said brightly. He nodded in her direction, his eyes never leaving the screen. “Morning.” He replied. Rydel sat down on her other side. “Ross could we please have the TV? You’ve been playing Call of Duty since 7:30 this morning.” She pouted. Ross looked over at his sister and frowned. “But I’m KILLING it today! Don’t throw off my groove.” He whined. Just then Darcy felt her phone buzz. She glanced down to see a message from Sean: ‘Twitpic time!’She looked up at Ross. He was already looking over at her. “Sean text you too?” he asked. “Yep.” She said. He paused the game and put down the remote before scooting over closer to her. “We both tweeting a picture or just one of us?” Ross questioned, pulling out his phone. “Both of us can. And you should Instagram it too.” Darcy replied. She smiled as Ross snapped a picture of the two of them; she pulled out her phone and did the same. Before she had begun to upload the picture her phone buzzed, signaling an update from Ross. ‘Lazy Saturday with @darcydavis. (:’ “How’d you do that so fast??” she demanded, typing out her own tweet & attaching the picture. ‘@rossR5 ;)’ Ross checked his phone when it buzzed. He laughed. “Oooh…flirty.” He joked. A few minutes later Darcy’s phone began going off again, signaling another text from Sean. ‘I like it Darcy, nicely done. I’ve been keeping tabs on Tumblr and the fans are going nuts over ‘Rarcy’-’ She giggled and looked up at Ross. “We have a ship name!” she said, showing Ross the text. ‘-That being said, the Lynch family will be having a bonfire later this week. I’ve already spoken to Stormie. At the bonfire, I’ll have Stormie snap a few discreet pictures of you and Ross being very cozy and flirty. Not direct pictures of the two of you, but pictures of the others with you guys in the background. You feel me? You and Ross will Instagram some pictures as well. After the bonfire, you’re going to really kick it up a few notches. I’m hoping to send you guys out in public in another week or so. I’ll leave you guys to it, I know Ross is enjoying his day off. I’ll talk to you later. –S’ Darcy slipped her phone back into her pocket before turning to Rydel. “Well I guess that answers your question about when we’re going public.” She joked.
