Snape's POV
It's morning and it's the third day at Hogwarts. Just four days left to complete the task, I don't wish to face the consequences otherwise. Headmaster Dippet has some work with the Minister of Magic. Before he left yesterday night, I cornered him and warned him not to open his mouth about me. He'd nervously agreed.
Right now, it is my first class of the day. Riddle looks weird. Different. He looks calm and not at all angry at Prince when she answers in class. In fact, he doesn't even answer when I ask him a question.
It is when he looks up, that I actually notice the difference. His eyes. They were green, yesterday. Now they're Dark Blue. I quietly decide to investigate after the class.
My class goes something like this:
Me (after I barge in):Today, I will teach you the Disarming Charm. Anyone knows what it is? Riddle? How about you?
Riddle: I don't know, sir.(The entire class stares at him with their mouths open.) Hey, I said I don't know. Don't look at me like that.
Me (surprised) : anyone else? Yes Ms. Prince?
Prince: It's called Expelliarmus.
Me : Five points to Slytherin. Now, this is the way to do it. (I show them by disarming a statue which I'd brought earlier, with my wand .)
Through out the class, Riddle looks uncomfortable, as he practices the spell. When I dismiss the class, Riddle slips out before anyone else. I quietly follow him out. He climbs the staircase and along the Ravenclaw Common room and up to the seventh floor. Once he reaches the top, he turns around nervously to see if anyone was looking. I use an invisibility charm on myself and follow him. Then he walks three times around a wall muttering something under his breath. Suddenly, a door appears in front of him and he walks inside.
Wait, exactly how many students know about the Room of Requirement? It's weird. First Potter, now Riddle. Well, it should be First Riddle and then Potter. I decide not to bother at the moment. I get inside quietly and hide myself behind a wall. I can see everything clearly from my hiding place. The room is warm and cozy, with a couch and a bed. On the bed sits a boy. I rub my eyes to ensure that they were right. I doubt I've had liquor or alcohol or firewhisky or something that makes me see two Tom Riddles.
TWINS?
Tom Marvolo Riddle has a double? And no one ever knew? How? Why? When? I could faint.
"So, you're back, Ted?" says the green eyed one.
"Your turn, Tom." says the blue eyed one. "You've got potions next."
"Oh, yeah? I'll bunk for today."
"you can't. I'm not gonna go in your place again."
"How dare you! I mean.... no, I'm not going. But a Riddle has to be present at all classes, right."he says slowly.
"Tom, lets stop this, please. Lets reveal the truth. We're twins, it's not our fault. You can't be unique, can you? Now look at the Patel twins. One's in Gryffindor and the other's in Ravenclaw. If you'd just not use that Confundus charm on me , I'd never...."
"Shut up, OK? We've gone over this before, right. We both just can't be in the same place at the same time. And anyway, as you reminded me about it...."
"No, not again."
"Ha...ha...you just wait. I've learnt a new spell. No, a curse. Do you know what it is ,dear brother?"
"A cu...curse?" Ted raises his wand.
"Imperio" shouts Tom. The curse hits his twin in the chest.
Ted obediently walks towards the door, without complaining. I am really taken aback. Even though Tom Riddle's just a boy, it's weird that he can use the Imperius curse at such a young age. But it's bad, very bad. Even Dumbledore, of all people, doesn't know about these twins' problem. Tom is making his twin a slave. My thoughts are suddenly cut of by a voice. The voice of the Dark Lord. "Severus"
"Severus, you were my most favourite servant..... Severus Snape betrayed me. ......I protected you......But you helped him kill me......" says the voice angrily. I gasp aloud.
"Whose that?" Tom snaps. He moves his wand around the room until it is just about seven feet in front of me and my hand reaches my wand. "Reveal your secrets, intruder."
I feel the invisibility charm lifting off me, when I suddenly get an idea. "Avis" I whisper. A blue bird appears in front of me. Tom sees it and laughs.
"Ted, take this bird out with you too, or wait...." he gets up and crushes the bird under his foot. I flinch. " Now go." he orders. I follow Ted out of the room and breathe a sigh of relief.
