Alternative ending to the original .

Hayley's PoV-
I lost a tooth today and I'm super excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight, Mackenzie and Annie are at gymnastics and I'm in the car with mommy about to go home from the mall. It was 6 when we got home Kenzie, Annie and Katie should be back from gym soon and then we are gonna have Mac and cheese, because it's calendar favourite. I walk down to Caleb's room he's on the floor.
"Caleb dinners almost ready!" I laugh.
He just lays there, "Caleb you're scaring me." I say. "Caleb?...."
"BOO!" Caleb jumps up and I scream.
"Mommy Caleb's being mean" I cried.
"Sorry Hay" Caleb hugs me.
"I love you Hayley" he smiles.
I told him to never do that to me ever again. And that I loved him as well. The girls got back from gym at 6:45pm. Kenzie went to get Caleb for dinner. We heard her scream.
"CALL 911 CALEBS NOT BREATHING" She shouted.
Annie grabbed her phone but when they answered mommy took the phone and screamed at the operator completely panicked. Daddy was trying to resuscitate Caleb he started to breath a little but not enough. Kenzie was crying, and Annie too, so was mommy I was just shocked. The ambulance got there mommy went with him, to tell them what happened. Daddy drove Annie Katie kenzie and I.

We arrived at the hospital all afraid and crying, we found mommy and she was slumped against the wall head in her hands. For the first time she looked small and weak and in that moment I knew. I felt it that he was gone. Daddy rushed over to her and had to ask the question everyone was dreading the answer to, "is he...." he started but was interrupted by a voice from behind him.

"I'm so sorry, there's nothing we could of done to save him" he looks to the floor and shakes his head, "your son has passed away."
Hayley's face dropped, almost synchronised we fell to the floor. Broken. Shocked. This couldn't be real, I don't believe this, this isn't real, please tell me it's not real.
"NO! It's not true! It can't be!" Hayley cries and jumps to her feet, barging her way to the door. She throws herself against it and it flies open. The next thing we heard was her begging Caleb to wake up. By this time we had all made our way off the ground and into the room where he was lying. So still. Hayley had his hand gripped in hers as she flooded her clothes with tears. I looked down at my own shirt and realised it was also drenched in the hard realisation that one of the people I loved the most would never smile, laugh or fill my life with joy again. I glanced up at my family all broken shells of people, leant over his bedside. Confused as to this all happened.
Katie's mom came and picked her up but the hospital were kind enough to let us stay. We laid around him on the floor. I held my sisters close to me. All of us quietly sobbing.

None of us slept that night. The morning was the hard part as we had to leave him. There was paperwork and daddy started calling family to let them know the truly heart breaking event of the night before. Annie Hayley and I sat beside him. He was lifeless, cold, still. This was life now. The life without Caleb. We all cried saying goodbye, the wheeled him out of that room to the morgue. Trying to get every last glimpse we could.

The next time we saw him would be his funeral.
