Chapter 10

Selena's POV

I was in a deep sleep when I heard the vibration of my phone going off on my nightstand. Someone was calling me but I didn't want to answer. I ignored it until they kept calling another 3 times. I eventually gave in, grabbing my phone and slowly opening my eyes to the light of my phone. It was was Ryan, I had 4 missed calls from him and 50 million texts.

Before I could even look at the texts or call him back, he was calling me once again. I rolled my eyes sitting up realizing it was 2 in the morning. I answered the call putting the phone to my ear hearing yelling going on in the background.

"Hello?" I said with a croaky voice.

"Selena! Thank god! You need to come to the hospital right now!" He yelled over the phone.

"Wait, what? What happened? Are you okay?" I asked becoming more awake and worried.

"It's Justin!" He yelled making my heart drop. A tear had slipped down my face. I couldn't find the words to say, I was in shock.

"Ok, I'll be right there." I said hanging up the phone right away. I didn't even have a way to get to the hospital. Fuck what was I going to do?

Putting on a pair of sandals and a sweater, I stayed in my shorts and tank top before heading to my mom's room waking her up. She wasn't on the good side considering I had woken her up to drive me to the hospital at 2:30 in the morning.

"Thanks mom. Sorry for waking you up. I love you!" I said hugging her before jumping out of the car and running into the hospital. I gave Ryan a text letting him know I was in the emergency waiting room. He sent me a text back saying to meet him at the main waiting area in the hospital.

My mind was spinning as to what happened. I just wanted to know what was going on. Justin was in the hospital, Ryan was freaking out which had me on edge. I eventually saw Ryan and ran up to him embracing him in a hug for a couple seconds before letting go.

"Where's Justin? What happened to him?" I asked pulling away from the hug. I started following Ryan asking him a bunch of questions.

"Sit down first." He said putting his hand on my shoulder to help me sit down. He sighed rubbing his hands together looking at the ground before looking back up at me.

"Ryan please just tell me." I said almost on the edge of crying.

He sighed before speaking up, "Justin was in a car accident." He said making my breath quicken. I almost couldn't find the air to breath, it felt like something was being pushed down onto my lungs and wasn't letting go.

"Wh-what?" I stutter not wanting to believe what he just said.

"We got into a fight after you guys left the house and Justin left and I got a call an hour later saying he has been involved in a car accident." Ryan said looking at my watering eyes. "His car had flipped 4 times landing on the top making Justin knock his head and he had a concussion. He was passed out when the cops had arrived onto the scene." He finished his sentence.

The waterworks started to stream down my face making me fall onto the ground from my chair crying into my knees. I felt Ryan's arms wrap around my body as I let my head fall into his chest. He picked me up as I just stayed there crying into his chest.

2 and half hours had passed, I felt Ryan shake me. I woke up cuddled into Ryan's chest while sitting on his lap. I must've cried myself to sleep on him.

"We can go see him now. He's awake." Ryan said making me jump out of his arms. I followed Ryan down the hallway as we looked up and down the hallway for room 252A. We came across the room, slowly opening the door. Ryan was the first to go in, he stopped when he noticed I wasn't going inside.
