--(Alison's P.O.V.)
"No sorry, I didn't mean to scare you.." he helplessly said, and looked at the both of us. My heart started beating in my throat.
"So, how are you guys?" he asked, like nothing happened.
"Zayn Malik?" the co-principal walked up to us.
"Yeah?" he said, looking besides him.
"Can you come to the office?" he asked, as Zayn rolled his eyes, and then looked at us.
"Bye," he said, and walked off. The bell rang, as I flashed a fake smile to Lola and walked off.
*later*
-lunch-I don't really eat the cafetaria.
(Lola's P.O.V.)
"Socio! Over here!" My best friend, Britney, yelled."What the Hell are you doing?" I asked her.
"I'm yelling the psycho, what the Hell does it looks like?" She asked me. Zayn looked at us, and walked towards us. My heart was throbbing in my throat.
"Hey Zayn," Britney said, trying to sound smooth.
"Hey," he flashed a smile.
"I'm Britney, and I wanna invite you to my party tonight." she spoke, as I shot her a glare.
"Britney, what the Hell do you think you're doing?" I asked her, as she totally ignored me. Zayn looked at me, and raised his eyebrows.
"Oh Lola, I didn't see you there," he flashed a smile. I immediately looked at my plate, and mumbled something.
"Yeah, I think I'll stop by." he stated. Britney smiled, as he walked off.
"You just f*cking invited a murderer to your party, do you realize that?" I asked her.
"More fun, right?" she winked and walked off with the model walk she grew up with.
Sigh.
(Alison's P.O.V.)
During the lunch I ran to my locker, putting some stuff back and getting some out. When I closed my locker door, a tall figure stood next to me."God, don't do that." I shivered.
"Sorry.." he spoke low.
"Fine, why are you here?"
"I just told you," he replied.
"What? You didn't tell me anything."
"I said sorry," he slowly spoke. "Sorry that I wrecked your childhood, and doing what I did."
"A sorry won't glue my childhood together, would it?" I asked him, finding my confidence.
"Answer one question, Zayn." I told him.
"Anything," he said, as a small smile crawled on his lips.
"Why did you do it?" I asked him, sternly.
"Why did I do what?"
"Your aunt.." I trailed off. The smile dropped, and his eyes turned darker. An unknown emotion was written on his face.
"I can't tell you," he spoke in a lower octave.
"Why not?" I asked, as he heard the annoyance in my voice.
"I have to protect you," he replied.
"Protect me from what?!" I screeched.
"I can't tell you," he repeated.
"You have to believe me! I did it for a reason. The only thing I truly regret, is not growing up with you and Lola. And not being there for you when you had no one." He spoke, looking deeply in my eyes.
"I gotta go," I said, and wiggled him off.
--last class--
Everyone shot Zayn glares, instead learning."What's a 'socio' or 'socio-path'?" Mrs. Buckons asked us, as she sat on her desk. She was clearly frustrated that people were more intrested in a 'socio' than her teaching.
"It's someone who's truly insane," Robin shouted.
"Good, let's keep it to the lesson." mrs. said, and wrote things on the board.
"Miss?" I said, and held my hand up.
"Yes, Alison?" She said, and looked at me.
"How do you know a 'socio/socio-path' is telling the truth?" after I said that, everyone turned to look at me. Including Zayn, who sas sitting in the right hook in front of me.
"You know, you can't read someone's mind," I said as I had a bit of eye contact during the sentence, as Zayn's cheek tensed up.
I wasn't intrested in what she was going to say, so I just looked back at my book.
"Close your books," mrs. said. Zayn slammed it close, probably of my question before.
Oh that's right, baby.
Too late to apologize.
