                       ~DANIELLE'S POV~

The next morning I woke up, and when I went out of my room, I saw a man, and my mum.

"Morning, sweetie." my mum says. "Would you like some coffee?"

"Yeah, uh, sure." I say, wondering why a strange man is in my house.

"Sit, Danny, I'll have some eggs ready in a second, too." my mum says, and she pours my coffee into my favorite mug.

'why is she making me breakfast and coffee?' I think to my self. 'and she is using my favorite mug? ok, something is seriously wrong here. and why is this man here?'

"I'm sorry, wh- who are you?" I say, very bluntly. Startling my mum.

"That's what I wanted to talk to you about, sweetie." my mum says, as she puts my coffee in front of me. "You may know, I just got a new job recently, and I met Tim."

"Hi, I'm Tim." Tim says, waving.

"Ok, but what is he doing, here? in our house?" I say, sounding very confused.

"Well, me and Tim have agreed to have dinner, here. We wanted to do it here so we could all get to know each other."

'He-here?! What?! like, like a- a date?! What! No, my mum? dating! pfft. No way. She hasn't though about dating since dad died'. I think to myself.

"What, like, like a, date?" I say

"Well, sort of." Tim says, sounding nervous by my response.

"Look, honey, if you're not ok with this, I ca-" my mum says, as I stop her.

"No, no it's fine. we can do that. and plus, I barely know the guy, so who am I to shut him down now?" I say, trying to sound like I'm ok with this, even though I know part of me isn't.

"Great!" my mom says, very happily. "It's a date! Does tonight work?"

"uh, yeah, sure. I just have to tell Tyler and Jessie that we can plan for another nig-"

"No, no, sweetie." my mum stops me, "if you had plans tonight, I'm sure we can plan for another night."

"No, really, it's ok. We were probably just gonna go see a movie, but we can plan for another day."

After Tim left, I called texted Tyler and Danny.

{Group text}
Me; hey guys, so my mum just sprang this news on me, which we can talk about later, but she needs me tonight. So, maybe we can hang out some other time?

Jessie; aahhhhhhhh darn! alright, maybe another day. u need anythn?

Me; No, I'm good, I'm just gonna go to my Aunt's house and pick up some stuff.

Tyler; ok, well, let us know when we should plan to hang. ;)

Me; I will. cya l8r guys.

Tyler; ✌🏽️✌🏽️

Jessie; cya l8r.

So, I grabbed my beanie, my jean jacket, and high tops, and rode my skate board to my aunt's. I've always been a tomboy. I've never liked dresses, skirts, getting my nails done, none of that.
But, in my town, the girls are girly, and the guys, well, they're guys. So to see a girl, act like a guy and dress like a guy, it's almost like your an alien.
I get judged pretty much everyday of my life.

I got to my Aunts house, and she was already waiting out on her porch for me.

"Hey, Aunt Peggy." I say, smiling and waving.

"Hey, Danny! How are you doing today?" my aunt says, smiling and waving back.

"well, to be honest," I say, and I grab my skate board, "not to great."

"What happened?" my aunt says, pouring some juice into a cup for me.

"Well, I'm having dinner with my mum and 'Tim' from her work tonight." I say, grabbing my drink.

"What? like a date?" my aunt says.

"I guess, I'm not really looking forward to it, but that's why I'm here, I needed some lemons. I texted you about it."

"Oh yes, they are through the back yard, into the garden. The right is lemons, the left is oranges."

"Ok, I'll be right back."

I get up, and go to the garden behind her house. I got the lemons, but then I smelled something. I started walking over toward the smell, and found a bin full of, what seemed to be chemicals.
Stupidly, I opened it. It was a weird, purple-ish color.
''huh? that's weird. chemicals aren't normally.. purple?'
Just as I was about to close it, some of it splashed out of the bin, onto my arms.

"Ouch! That burns!"

I tried to wipe it off, but it before I could, it evaporated.

"Hey, Aunt Peggy, what's that bin of chemicals you have out there?" I ask, as I walk back into the house holding a bag of lemons.

"Well, it keeps the bugs away. But don't touch it. It's poisonous." she says, as I start looking concerned, because it got on my arms.

"What are the chemicals in it?" I ask, nervously.

"Myscrophyne and Azgedonium. The mix of the two could give you radiation poisoning. You didn't touch it, did you?!"

"No, I didn't. I was just wondering." I say, as I start getting really worried. "Well, I should probably get going."

"Ok, Hun. Oh, and let me know how the dinner went."

"Oh yeah, I will. it should be a blast!" I say, very sarcastically.
