I woke up at around 5 o'clock the next morning, and I saw that Maddie and Sierra were sitting on a bed, playing cards.
I rubbed my eyes. "How long have you guys been up?"
"I don't know like an hour." Sierra said nonchalantly.
"Oh"I said. Waking up at 4 am might seem really early to some people, but we have skiing to do, and there's no time for sleeping when you gotta ski.
"DIBS ON THE SHOWER" I yelled and raced into the bathroom. I turned the water on warm and shivered when the water touched my skin. I felt good.
About twenty minutes later, I put on long johns under a pair of black yoga pants and a long sleeved under armour shirt. I brushed my teeth and ran a brush through my hair and put it in a low ponytail so that it would fit under my helmet. When I came out of the shower, I saw that Sierra and Maddie had ordered room service. I walked out and saw that they had a huge platter of french toast. I grabbed a huge slice and gulped it down. I wasn't even hungry. All I wanted to do was ski.
"You guys want to get ready to go?" I asked.
"Ya, I'm full." Maddie said.
"Me, too" Sierra agreed.
First, I put on my specially made ski socks. It was cool because they kept your feet warm, but also made it so that your feet didn't sweat. Next, I put on my teal ski pants. Sierra had bright yellow ones, and Maddie had hot pink ones. I put on my white ski jacket next, which had my samsung galaxy phone, chapstick, and a spare granola bar just in case in the pockets. I next put on my plain black ski boots. Then went on my mask, which had a little slot for my nose, and little holes where the mouth was supposed to be. My helmet and goggles were next. I grabbed the note that we wrote the night before and taped it on the inside of the boys' door. It read:
Dear Dad, George, and Jordan,
Sierra, Maddie, and Amber went skiing. We already had breakfast. Meet us by the chalet at noon for lunch. See ya later.

Sierra, Maddie, and Amber
I threw on my gloves and rushed out the door, Maddie and Sierra followed. We all carried our skiis under our arms. We walked out the back door of the lodge and we were basically just right there at the ski lift.
"Hey guys, since its our first run of the season, do you want to start out on a green?" I asked, hoping they wouldn't make fun of me.
"Sound like a plan." Sierra said. Maddie nodded.
We got into the line for the ski lift, which didn't have many people in it. After about ten minutes of waiting, we got onto the ski lift. Wow, it was so beautiful. I just felt so alive. Skiing was my passion. We got to the top of the hill and immediately started skiing down. I didn't even need to look at the map, I knew exactly where to go. This place was like my home. This run was called Treetop, because when you looked up, all you could see were the top of the trees, no sky. I loved it. Even though the run was insanely easy, it was just.... realaxing. When we got to the bottom, we decided to go on an intermediate run with rollers at the bottom. This run was called gunslinger, and I liked how some parts got steeper and some parts would flatten out more.
The hill was seperated into 6 main parts. Starting at the leftmost part, there were lots of beginner runs. The next part was all intermediate. After that, near the middle, were all the black diamonds. Then came the double blacks. Then next part was a lot of terrain parks. The section that was most to the right was all tree skiing of any level. We started at the intermediates and worked our way right.
