Tomorrow was homecoming.

I was spending the day with Drew because we haven't seen each other long enough for our liking.

Drew decided that we go to Central Park and meet at 'our tree' and have a picnic, it was really sweet and romantic of him.

I was starting to like him even more.

Drew asked me what was the color of my dress because he wanted to match me, it was nerdy, cute, and quirky at the same time, but that was one of the things I loved about him, he was unpredictable.

I was on my way to meet Drew at our tree and when I got there it was a quarter till five and the Sun was starting to set.
.
"Hey beautiful." Drew said as I took a seat next to him.

"Hey Drew." I said as he kissed my cheek.

"So are you excited for homecoming tomorrow? I am. I get to spend the night with the most beautiful girl in the world."

I blushed not used to the flattering compliments he was sending my way.

"Yeah, I get to spend it with the sweetest guy in the world."

I said smiling at him.

"I'm not sweet, I'm hot."

He protested nonetheless grinning.

"Always so full of your self." I said thumping the back of his head.

"Ow! What was that for?" He grumbles

"Nothing just felt like it." I grinned.

"You're so mean to me." He pouted.

"Am not," I said child-like.

"Are to!" He shouted crossing his arms and pouting.

I kissed his cheek

"Are not."

"Okay maybe not that mean."

I laughed.

"Are we going to eat this picnic or what?"

I asked faking annoyance.

"Oh! right." He shouted, getting the contents of the basket.

He had a blanket that was set up by the tree, candles and mouthwatering food.

"This is beautiful Drew, thank you so much nobody has ever been so nice to me like you."

I said honestly smiling at him the kindest smile I think I've ever pulled.

"No problem, you're worth it." He smiled and I saw an emotion that I couldn't recognize in his eyes.

He kissed my temple and we ate our picnic talking about whatever and being ourselves that was one thing I couldn't do around lots of people: be myself,  but with Drew I felt like I could be and do anything, and I was slowly but surely falling in love unexpectedly, who knew?
