WhenI look into your eyes
Ican see a love restrained
Butdarling when I hold you
Don'tyou know I feel the same?
'Causenothing lasts forever
Andwe both know hearts can change
Andit's hard to hold a candle
Inthe cold november rain
The sun was sinking. The sky turnedto shades of orange and red. Far in the distance it got dark. She putthe book aside and went over to her desk. It was covered withletters, magazines and papers. A whole week long she had glancesthrough them. Now this was finished. The box with pictures stoodbehind the cup with pencils. She took the pictures out and looked atthem. Funny, how easy the memories came back to her. With a smile shelaid the picture of an old friend aside, took the next one. It hurt.Seeing herself in these happy days she had had. Now those days wereover. All was decided. Only two pictures were put in the book, theothers carelessly thrown on the desk.
She lit a cigarette and stepped backto the window. Almost dark outside. Time was running fast. Just likeshe was running inside herself. She liked this hour of twilight most.Even more than the night itself.
„What is he doing at the moment?" But who was he? The man whose ring she was wearing? Or another manwaiting for her somewhere? It didn't matter.
Another cigarette was lit by thedying ashes of the first one. Now it was time. The whole week therehad been this feeling. Time to leave. She took the book and stuffedit into her bag. This was all. The rest had been packed allready.
SometimesI need some time on my own
SometimesI need some time all alone
Everybodyneeds some time on their own
Don'tyou know you need some time all alone
