Promises

Date night

As I walked down the cobblestone path, I could hear the sound of rain splitter splatting onto the path.
I saw a woman in her thirties drinking a can of beer.
She stared at me .
Her brown hair was longish with emerald green eyes. She had little freckles on her nose and on her cheeks.
She was my height with a pair of heels on so I would be taller.
"Hello Jessie, it's nice to see you again". She said, her voice tender and sweet. "Who are you". I asked a little surprised she knew my name.

Dads POV
" Kylie we're going to have a baby girl, two of them". I said to my beautiful wife who by the way was in labor.
She was pregnant with two healthy baby girls, but sadly Kylie left me when I was taking care of the babies one night.
I went back to the bedroom and saw that the window was wide open. She must have jumped out the window.
I ran after her as fast as my feet could go, I called and cried for her to come back to me.
Unfortunately she never came back.
Fifteen years later I saw her we were drunk and stupid, she ended up pregnant and ran away from me again. I said I loved her and she just left me.
End of flashback

We ended up talking for half an hour, and I remembered my date with Zack.
He was not happy but gave me a kiss on the cheek anyway.
He got a table for two.
"M'lady". He says and pulls out my chair.
I giggle well he chuckles and sits down.
"So what do you want to order? Because I saw spaghetti with Alfredo sauce because it looks delicious". He stated, sweat all on his forehead.
" Ok I will order that. It sounds delicious". I said to please him.
He got up and said he had to go to the bathroom so I ordered for him.
By the time he came back I was half way done my spaghetti.
His tie was wrecked and his hair was a mess.
I giggled a little bit.

After supper he held my hand to his car and drove me home.
He knelt down and gave me a ring.No it is not a wedding ring
It was a promise ring engraved I promise in it.
I kissed him on the lips and said good bye.
We shared one last smile and he was gone.
