My phone tauntingly buzzed from my nightstand, making me groan and roll over.

"What?" I groaned into the phone, "Whoever this is it better be important.."

Why didn't I check the caller I.D.?

I really couldn't be bothered.

I heared a giggle from the other end of the call, "Well hello Grumpy Bones. I called to wish you a Merry Christmas!"

I smiled slightly, "Oh, that's today? Merry Christmas Cordia."

"Don't worry, you aren't going present-less. I gave my present to you to your mom."

"I forgot to give mine to you before you left, damn." I laughed, earning a laugh from the other end of the call too. We continued to talk for a while, everything going fairly smooth. Then she asked me how dinner with Matt's family went.

"Uh, it was great."

"Doesn't sound like it. What happened?"

"Just, uh..." I sat up, the sheets falling away from my shoulders. I bit my bottom lip, thinking for a little. "Could I... Could I tell you something?"

"Of course Rodrick." Came her breathy reply. I fell silent, trying to decide whether I really wanted to say anything or not. Though, this would be good practice. And her reaction could help me prepare for Matt's. Oh god. Maybe I could stop talking to them? I could just shut them out and no one would ever have to find out. No no, that won't do me any good. Plus, they are my friends. But I still don't trust them like friends. Maybe I have grown trust issues? Oh my god I'm over thinking this and stalling, I need to make up my damn mind. "You know Roddy, if you are nervous you don't have to tell me. It won't really effect my life if you don't. But, I just want you to know you can always confide in me about anything. We are friends, I think. Helping each other out is what friends do."

"Y-yeah you're right. Well, it's sort of, like, um, when I was born, I mean, I wasn't always like this, no no, what I mean to say is– I'm a girl!" I blurted finally, embarrassed heat flushing my face.

She only laughed.

"I-I'm serious!"

"Oh Roddy, I already knew."

"Wh—"

"For many reasons. One, you don't have an Adam's apple. Two, one time you leaned over a table and I got a clean look down your shirt. Even though you bind them, I could tell you have really nice boobs. Not like huge, you know? Manageable. Three, your hips don't lie."

"S-some guys have really nice hips too!"

"Mm, oh I know. Guss's are to die for. He's eye candy. Yum."

I laughed at her comment, laying back, "Yeah, he does."

"Even you appreciate them? Oh man, then you know how good they have to be," she rambled on, talking about all the guys and girls that had really nice hips. "If you can't tell, I'm a hips person."

"I can tell." I grinned, "I'm just an all around person."

"I can tell, when you check someone out you aren't really discrete about it. It doesn't happen much, but when it does your eyes are all over them." She teased, a small giggle mixing with her words.

"Oh shut up." I shifted around, "You know, you are pretty good at observing people."

"Aww, you flatter me! Anyways, I gotta go! We are about to open presents and I'm super duper excited," her voice squeaked slightly, like she was a little child, "So I'll text you later Roddy!"

With that her line went dead. I smiled, dropping my phone in my lap. I ran my hands through my hair, a small laugh bubbling up from my chest. I was elated. I felt light, almost airy.

"Khloe sweetie," my mother peeked her head in the doorway, "Come down and open presents."

I trudged back up to my room, a wad of new clothes in my arms. I got a few new books, but I had already brought them up to my room in the trip prior. I'm not a huge fan of reading, but I prefer it over TV. If I was really craving a TV show then I'd just go on Netflix.

Speaking of Netflix, that was part of my gift to Matt. He didn't have one, so I just gave him the information to ours (with the permission of my father, who just shrugged and said it was fine with him). I even set him up a personal Netflix channel thing, putting a ton of good shows and movies on his list so he would know where to start.

The other part was the movie he favored the most. Predictable, but I hope it makes him happy. I also bought him a few video games so he wouldn't be playing Halo or that football game all the time. Also, they were games I would be able to beat him at.

I was lost on what to get Cordia. She never really talked about her interests, so I just got her stuff I thought would be acceptable. I got her a rosey pink hoody, a few stacks of emoji stickers (when she texts she tends to use a tom of emojis), a pretty nice picture frame, then I got her a bracelet, which was the priciest thing I had gotten. It had her name carved into the silver, curving bangle. It was simple, and not really all too pretty, but I hope she likes it. It seems like one of the things she might like. The only jewelry she ever wears is really simple silver or gold stuff. Usually just bracelets or a necklace. I got her the jacket just because she was complaining about how she didn't have a light jacket for summer.

I'm horrible at figuring out what to get people, so I really hope they both like what I got them. Even Matt, though I'm still weary about talking to him right now.

I left the clothes on my dresser, then fell on my bed, letting out a small sigh.

"I hope the two of them are having a good Christmas."

Well, one of them was.
