Chapter 3: DODGEBALL! 9/21/2013
“Come on, losers! Throw your balls, impregnate someone!” Coach yelled, trying to get everyone to play dodgeball correctly. So far, it was only me, one other girl, Chase, Viet, Michael, Erik, Jason, Jacques, and Trevor that were participating. The other people were being wankers.
“Lets go, Charmichael! Quit being a lady, throw the damn ball!”
Jason glared at his target and let the red object in his hands fly. The dodgeball bounced right off of unsuspecting Jaq’s chest, taking him out. He walked to the bleachers and sat down, far away from the other defeated players. I smiled, he looked relieved to be out of the game.
I don’t see why. He is such an amazing player! The only reason that I lasted this long was because I had practice dodging objects back at my old home. Dangerous things that could kill me.
“So,” a voice drawled from in front of me. I turned my head in that direction to find a short girl wearing booty shorts and a shrunken tank top. Her brown hair was put up in a ponytail, keeping strands out of her forest green eyes.
“You’re the girl that kissed my man yesterday, eh? Huh, you would think that if he were to cheat on me, then he would do so with someone prettier. That’s kind of impossible, though. I mean, look at me!”
I smirked. “There’s not much to look at, sweetheart. Where did you get that outfit, your baby sister?” The teen’s face grew red and she started stuttering. After the steam blew out of her ears, the girl stomped her foot and stormed off to get back into the game. I rolled my eyes and caught a ball that Trevor aimed at me, letting another player get back with our team. The female walked up to me with a flyaway sphere that Mike had thrown at Chase, who was on my team.
“The name is Chainey.” She said.
I nodded in response, not taking my eyes off the battlefield in front of me. “Anasandria.”
“Watch out!” Chainey yelled, letting me know that Mike decided to make me his next target, since Chay was untouchable. I dodged the flying object just as another came my way, this time, heading for my face. Due to the fact that I was unprepared, okay, the sight of Chase distracted me, the other dodgeball managed to hit me, right in the face.
“Fuck!” I yelled, staggering back and clutching my nose. Looking up, my eyes focused on green ones, which were twinkling with laughter.
Everyone watched the exchange with eager expectations, wanting to see a cat fight. All except the boys that were slowly becoming my friends, they looked on with concerned expressions while each made their way over to me.
I growled. “What in the bloody hell is wrong with you, you psychotic bitch?”
She grinned. “Stay away from Chay-pay, or worse will happen.”
What the hell? “You do realise that, that made you sound like a prostitute, right?” I asked, trying to staunch the blood that was steadily flowing out of my nose.
