Some humans are born with a Gene, the LN46 Gene. If a human has it, they are taken to a HMF centre. They grow up there until a werewolf claims them as there mate. Mates are not chosen by fate, the werewolf chooses them. Then they go live with the werewolf.  Werewolves keep track of their human mate by a bracelet until the human turns 18 when they can be marked. Some humans break the system by not giving birth at the hospital, by doing that the child won’t be taken away. Until someone notices that the child doesn’t wear the bracelet or have a mark. Werewolves can smell another werewolf on the human. If the human doesn’t have LN46 Gene, they are given a bracelet which gives them freedom to what they want. Female werewolves do not exist; they stopped being born a long time ago that was when the LN46 gene came about.
