Pick Me Up
Luke checked his phone for what seemed like the hundredth time that night and sighed - you were late and with no explanation. "Just enjoy the party!" Calum yells to him over the music. Luke smiled sadly, looking around the room full of people he barely knew, all of whom seemed to be having a better time than him. "You don't like the party?" Calum asked, frowning. "No it's not that! I just don't know where Evie is," he explains, "She was supposed to be here a half hour ago." Luke checks his phone again before shoving it angrily into his pocket. "She's probably just running late! Don't worry!" Calum insists, "Have fun! It's your birthday party." With that Calum disappeared into the crowd of people, leaving Luke alone. Seconds later Luke felt his phone vibrate. Yanking it out quickly, he unlocked it to read a text from you: "Car died can you pick me up:(" Luke typed back: "where?" After telling your boyfriend where you were, you checked your reflection in the mirror, wanting to make sure you looked your best when Luke showed up. You fixed your lipstick and smoothed your hair before seeing the headlights of another car pulling into the deserted parking lot you were in. You quickly straightened your little black dress before stepping out to greet Luke. "Happy Birthday!" You squealed, kissing him quickly. "Thanks," he said with a little laugh. "You look beautiful by the way," he added, his eyes moving up and down across your body. "Thanks," you reply with a satisfied smile. "What's wrong with your car?" He asks, looking past you at the car. "My car?" You repeat dumbly, "Oh! Nothing!" You smile up at Luke who returns your smile with a look of confusion. "Nothing?" he repeats, "Then why did I need to get you?" You took Luke's hand, leading him toward the car slowly. "I know how much you hate big parties," you say simply. Luke remains confused and you go on, opening the back car door. "So I thought we could have a party of our own." You push Luke into the car and follow him, shutting the door behind you. "Oh," Luke says with a smirk, pulling you toward him. He pulls you onto his lap and you swing your legs to fall on either side of his hips. His hands tangle in your hair and yours in his before he kisses you roughly. "Happy Birthday," you sigh into his mouth. You feel his lips break into a grin. "This is way better than my party," he mumbles back. You push him backwards so that he lays across the seats and you lean over him, still kissing passionately. Your hands move from his hair to his shirt, lifting it over his head. Your lips move to Luke's neck where you begin to suck at his soft skin. You feel his hands find your zipper, unzipping your dress and tossing it into the front seat. Your hips slide back and forward against his waist, making him moan. You kiss down to his abs, slowly making your way toward the waist of his jeans. Your hands fumble with the button of his pants when you feel a buzzing, the pocket of his jeans lighting up. "Ignore it," Luke groans. You nod, and unbutton his pants, slowly sliding them down. The buzzing begins again and you sigh exasperatedly, sitting up and pulling the phone from his pocket. "It's Calum," you sigh. Luke groans, gripping your waist and moving your hips against his own as he replies, "Can you answer it?" You sigh, but push accept. "Hello?" You say rather shortly. "Oh hello Evie! Um I was just wondering where Luke was, we wanted to have cake and ice cream but couldn't find him.." As you listen to Calum speak, Luke sits up beneath you, pulling you against him. He starts sucking your neck, moving to your collarbone. "Stop!" You mouth, trying to keep your attention on Calum's words. "So where are you guys?" You hear Calum ask. You inadvertently let out a moan, covering your mouth with your hand and glaring at Luke as he smirks up at you. "Um..Evie? You okay?" Calum asks. "Sorry I'm fine!" You reply quickly, attempting to push Luke away. Luke returns, his hands gripping your bare thighs as he nibbles on your open ear. "M-my car broke down so L-luke came to get me," you stammer, fighting another moan. "We're on our way back," you add. You yelp as Luke bites a little too hard at your skin. "Uh, okay," Calum says into the phone. "Hurry back." He adds. "Luke Hemmings!" You hit him softly in the arm. "You can't do this to me when I'm on the phone with your friend!" You scold, "Is your one desire to embarrass me!?" "No," Luke laughs, "Right now my one desire is to get back to when you were on top of me..." You can't help but laugh as you lightly punch Luke again. "Oh gosh, uh, I'm still here," you hear Calum's voice from the phone in your hand. Your jaw drops as you look at Luke in alarm. Luke bursts out laughing, falling back against the seat in a fit of laughter. "Calum I - It's not what - It's just that -" You stutter hopelessly, "We were only -" "Don't mind me," Calum interrupts, "We'll just have dessert without you." With that the line goes dead. "If it wasn't your birthday I'd kill you," you mumble, burying your head in his chest in embarrassment.
