***Author's POV***

Y/n's mother and father fight all the time about some really random things, but that's because he's always drunk. Most of the times, it's about how y/n should be accepted by her father while other times it's about him sleeping with other women.

"Why can't you accept y/n for the way she is!" Y/n's mom shouted to her drunk father who just came home not even five minutes ago. "And when will you stop drinking?!"

"Y/n is a disappointment to me, okay! Are you satisfied with my answer!" The drunkard yelled back to her. Y/n was in the bathroom, crying from her father's response. She had just got out of the shower, but her clothes were in the bathroom as well.

"Why is she a disappointment?! Huh?! What did she ever do to be a disappointment?!"

"She became my daughter!" Y/n silently got dressed while the tears stained them

"You also wanted children!"

"I wanted boys! Is she a boy! No!" Y/n put her baggy white t-shirt on and french-braided her hair, trying to ignore the pain in her chest

"It doesn't matter if she's a girl. Having a child requires responsibility whether you like it or not!-"

PPAK!

***Your POV***

I heard a slapping noise and a door slam. Most likely the broken front door. I rushed into Eomma's room and picked her off the ground. I brought her into my room and set her down on my bed. I locked the door in case he comes back and looked under my bed for a first-aid kit.

"Y/n pack your stuff, we're leaving and I'm getting a divorce with your father"

"I kind of figured. But let me see the mark" She uncovered her cheek and the mark was deep red with a deep scratch.

I sighed "This one's even worse than last time" I gently rubbed the medicinal alcohol over the hand print

She sucked in a deep breath from the stinging "Yeah, and it hurts too. It's not your fault though it's the medicinal alcohol and your father's"

"Thanks. Where are we going to move to?"

"Busan"

"Jinja? I heard the ocean view is the best over there" I grabbed a band aid and grabbed my bags out of my closet.

"How many do you have?" Eomma asked

"3"

"Okay, those should probably get filled easily, don't worry, I have more suitcases" She winked playfully and walked into her room to pack up. I filled up one full suitcase of clothes and in another one that had a mixture, then my last one just had other special objects I want to keep.

"Eomma" I let myself in her room to see her packing away like crazy.

"Hi sweetie, I'm kind of getting carried away. Are you finished?" I nodded my head "Great. Can you help me pack some things?"

"Ne" I grabbed some clothes in Eomma's closet and threw it in a nearby box. She won't care if I do that because-well, she doesn't.

***

After a half an hour, everything was done and we quickly loaded everything into Eomma's minivan. I sat in the passenger seat while Eomma drove. I played on my phone for a little bit but then fell asleep for awhile.

***

"Y/n, ireonae" Eomma whispered, shaking my shoulder. "We're here"

I rubbed away the sleep from my eyes and looked out the car "We are?" I smiled at her

"Ne, and once we get the boxes inside our apartment, we'll greet some people"

"Arraseo" I jumped out the car and headed to the trunk, waiting impatiently. Once the trunk door clicked, I opened it like it was nothing and loaded four huge boxes in my arms and waited for Eomma

"We're C33, so you know which one"

"It's like you were prepared for this to happen, Eomma"

"I was, I have the key in my bag"

"Daebak" Eomma walked in front of me so she could lead me our apartment. But there's stairs. Ugh. I mentally slapped myself for being so stupid, carrying these big loads of boxes, but I made it easier for Eomma and that's all what matters.

As I walked walking up, I started slipping, but someone saved my fall. The boxes fell but luckily, didn't break.

"Gwenchana?" It was a boy who saved my fall. He lifted me back up and I coughed awkwardly.

"Annyeong. I'm new here. My name is y/l/n y/n. Sorry I bumped into you"

"There's no need to be sorry. My name's Park Jimin." He held out his hand and I hesitantly took it, looking up at him shyly and down to our hands shaking. "Would it be alright if I help you carry some boxes up?"

"Uh, sure. Me and my Eomma's apartment number is C33"

"Jinja? I live right across from there. I'm C23"

"Ah" I nervously half-laughed. I carried two big boxes while he carried two bigger boxes. I walked upstairs to our apartment and put the boxes I packed in my room

"Y/n, where do these go?" Jimin shouted from another room. I followed his voice and he was in the living room.

I scanned the box to see the label Eomma and I gave it "You can just put them right there" I pointed down near his feet and he set them down carefully. He looked at me and awkwardly laughed

"So, uh, if you need anything, I'm next door. Annyeong" He walked away across the hall and closed his door.

"Who was that?" Eomma asked. I turned myself around to see where she was and she was in the kitchen.

"That was our neighbor..Park..Jimin" I kind of forgot his name

"Oh, well, alright. Let's hope he's not like your father"

"Yeah, let's hope that"

"Oh, he could help us with warming up to neighbors! That's a great idea. Y/n, go see if he's there"

I sighed to myself and knocked on the door gently "Who is it?"

"It's y/n" after I said my name, he gently opened the door

"Ne?" He playfully asked

"Can you help my Eomma and I greet other neighbors. Like, see if they're nice or not"

"Sure. I can help with that"

"Thanks..Jimin?"

"That's my name"

"Phew, I thought I got it wrong"

Ever since that day we've grew close to each other and we got married after five years because I'm a little unsure about commitment because of, well, my drunkard father. But now, I don't need to worry about him.
