Prologue

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a tiny kingdom...peaceful, prosperous and rich in romance and tradition. Here, in a stately chateau, there lived a widowed gentlemen, and his two daughters, Anna and Elsa.

Although he was a kind and devoted father, and gave his beloved children every luxury and comfort, still, he felt like they needed a mother's care.

And so, he married again, choosing for his second wife a woman of good family, with two daughters just Anna and Elsa's age: By name, Anastasia and Drizella.

It was upon the untimely seven month travel of this good man to collect more money, however, that the stepmother's true nature was revealed. Cold, cruel and bitterly jealous of Anna and Elsa's charm and beauty, she was grimly determined to forward the interest of her own two awkward daughters.

But what the stepmother and her two daughters didn't know about Anna and Elsa, was that the two girls were possessed with a terrible gift from a fairy godmother. The gift of obedience.

Thus, as months go by, upon the vain and selfishness of the stepsisters, Anna and Elsa were abused, humiliated and forced to become servants in their own house.

And yet, through it all, the girls remained ever gentle and kind. For with each dawn, they found new hope that someday their dreams of happiness would come true...
