Eyes still narrowed, Arthur made his way over to most of the oblivious Asian counties and asked Kiku to talk for a moment, and respectively, they dismissed themselves to the back porch.
"I didn't know he was going to be here too!" Arthur half-whispered yelled as he tried to keep his cool about the current situation at hand.
"Are you purposefully trying to get us to fight each other?!" The Brit spat out, but then stopped when a look of hurt flashed across the other mans face.
Kiku nodded slowly with a saddened smile and replied, "I just thought...that maybe both of you can sorve this issue and courd possibry become friends over dinner..."
Kiku looked down at his feet in a shameful fashion, and Arthur understood what he was trying to do.
"He meant no harm, and he just wanted to see us become friends..." Arthur thought to himself with a measurable amount of guilt. He didn't mean to make the Japanese man upset.
He then remembered the doll he had bought at the store, and reached into his bag still slung around his shoulders to grab the item.
Kiku looked at him curiously, hoping that they were still friends. When his eyes landed on the doll, his face lit up and he whispered, "Heichou.."
The Japanese man took the doll with both hands and held it close to his chest saying softly, "Thank you Arthur-san. I'm sure you'rr be fine."
Arthur was glad to Kiku liked his gift and once he handed the small commander over, he cleared his throat and said, "I...I'll try my best...it would be impolite to not..."
The other man smiled with gratitude before turning his head when Yao called out, "Dnner is ready aru! Come and get it!"
And with that, both men hurried back insides to help set the table, and to hopefully have a peaceful dinner...hopefully.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
As all of the countries sat down to eat, well, they didn't really sit down, they were all kneeling at a ground table that was big enough for an entire family.
After saying prayers and thanks, everybody began to pass the food around, well, everybody but Alfred and Arthur.Alfred was slightly frustrated that the Brit was here, since he wanted to have a nice evening with his Japanese friend.
"I don't want eyebrows barging in all the time..." Alfred thought to himself with distaste.
He wasn't thrilled with the fact that somebody like that was hanging out with his friends at all. It seems to him like Arthur was always upset or angry at him, and he didn't want his other friends to have to deal with the British man.
On the other hand, Arthur was still upset about the American being here.
"I can't believe that the bloke was invited! I know Japan was trying to get us to bond, but with that git's ego, I'll never be able to tolerate him, especially not at the dinner table!" Arthur thought as his grip tightened around the table cloth.
The Asian countries seemed to notice this and tried to lighten the mood a little bit by offering some of their own treats to the western countries that were equivalent to appetizers.
"Oh! I appear to have forgotten our drinks! I'll be right back with them." Taiwan exclaimed as she dismissed herself from the table with a hurried bow.
"Aniki! Can I turn on some of my mu-" Arthur knew to be S. Korea, but was quickly refused with a no by China.
"Is there anything else you would like?" Yao asked Arthur with a look of slight discomfort. He didn't want to make it any more awkward than it was, so he was in a hurry to feed them and get them out before havoc could break loose.
"No, thank you though." Arthur politely replied to the Chinese man before eating his share of the meal.
As soon as everybody was eating, Arthur looked up to see Alfred already on his second plate of food.
"Hey you idiot, you know that you can't eat all of that food you know. There are other people that need to eat as well."
Alfred cocked an eyebrow and said, "I know, I'm just really hungry. I'll save some for the others."
However, he kept stuffing more food into his mouth at a high velocity, and with a slight growl, "You know that's very unhealthy, especially with the amount of exercise you get per day which is none."
This caused Alfred to stop chewing for a moment and he replied back with a snide, "Well, at least I'm good at sports, and I have a chance at being strong, unlike you who can't even throw a ball."
The memories of the humiliation and embarrassment dawned upon the Brit once again as the Brit's mouth curled into a sneer. Angered and hurt, Arthur shouted back, "Well at least I won't become diabetic in the next year! You're on your third plate!"
Alfred's eyes widened as a look of shock, pain, and anger surged across his face.
Before any body could move, both countries lunged at each other, tossing the food around and slamming it into the others hair and clothes.
"Caterpillar Eyebrows!"
"Fat-slob!"
Immediately, China and Japan tore them apart with the help of Hong Kong and S. Korea.
Both men were kicked out of the house with a resounding thump, followed by Yao's outraged cry, "Don't you dare show your faces to my family until you can both get along!"
Arthur looked up from the pavement, ready to continue the fight, but the American had grabbed his stuff and fled, leaving his bomber jacket behind.
"Hey wait! You forgot your-!" Arthur began, but the American was already out of earshot.
Arthur held the side of his face that beheld a bruise, and walked home by himself when he realized that he had really messed up at dinner. Kiki had put a lot of faith into him, and his repayment was a ruined dinner.
"No wonder nobody likes me...I only cause trouble..." Arthur thought to himself somberly as he made the trek back to his dorm room carrying their coats, where his roommate was hopefully done fighting with him.
