It had taken them most of the night in order to finish their studying, and they were both too exhausted to even make it to their bed, so they had just fell asleep on their couch work with their notes. Eventually they had both made it to their designated classroom and went to their assigned seats that we separated from each other.

"Wow man, I can't believe we managed to finish studying last night. Good luck man." Alfred said as he patted Arthur spin the back before taking his seat.

Arthur half smiled to himself as he took his seat and waited patiently to get his test and start. He knew that this was only the quarterly test, but he wanted to make a lasting impression in this school.

"Let's just hope that I pass and walk out of this classroom with a good grade so I can progress forward." Arthur thought to himself and sighed inwardly.

The Brit glanced over at the student next to him and noticed the familiar face of Alfred and wondered why he had moved over next to him.

"Hey you idiot, your seat is over there." He pointed over and saw Alfred in his chair. The Brit looked back and forth for a moment as the stranger turned around and his bright purple eyes shown sadly.

"Oh...um...I'm Canada, you know, America's brother..."
The nation rubbed the back of his head uncomfortably as he tapped his foot somewhat irritatedly as he looked at Arthur.

"Oh, I'm sorry old chap. You two look seriously alike." Arthur replied back as he looked at the soft spoken nation with interest. He was surprised that such a face like Alfred's could be so kind.

Arthur decided that this nation seemed friendly enough to chat with, so he smiled at the younger nation and said, "Well, I'll make sure that I do my best to remember you Canada. My name is Arthur Kirkland, and I'm guessing you know me as the United Kingdom."

The other man smiled back with a tinge in his cheeks and replied, "Thank you mister Kirkland, I'll do my best to remember you."

Both nations heard the teacher announce that the test was about to get passed out, and to grab their pencils and scratch paper to complete their objective: to pass this test with flying colors.

(Time-skip brought to you by the clock)

It has been a long and vigorous test, but all of the countries managed to make it through.
Although the time was short, Arthur felt very proud of his work, so he wasn't too worried about flunking this.
Out of curiosity, he peered over at Alfred to see him chewing on his eraser stub.

"I wonder how he's doing? After all, we did study most of the night..."
Arthur mused to himself as he twiddled his thumbs out of boredom.

A thin bead of sweat ran down the American's cheek as the clock continued to count down the minutes left on the exam.  Fidgeting, Alfred wrote his last synopsis and gave his papers to the teacher.

Arthur noted that he looked relieved and couldn't help but feel a little proud, but he quickly silenced that thought as the American drew closer.

As soon as the final papers were turned in, the teacher stood up at the front of the room and cleared his throat and said, "That concludes today's testing period. Make up tests will be offered tomorrow at 6:00 P.M. All of your scores will be posted in the following week."

Arthur scoffed at some of his peers who began making their bets on who passed or failed their quarter tests, but were soon hushed by the teacher as they politely dismissed the students from the room.

"If you don't mind Arthur, I was wondering if we could get to know each other more? After all, I don't want you to forget me..." Matthew mused as Arthur gave him a confused look and asked, "I'm sorry, who are you again?"

The Canadian sighed and replied, "Matthew, my name is Matthew-" The Canadian was cut off with a sudden rough bump from his brother as Alfred chimed in, "Yo! Hanging out with my brother now huh Iggy?"

Arthur apologized to Matthew profusely and replied hastily, "Of course, it's other proper to make friends through meetings!"

"So formal and lame..." Alfred mused as Matthew gathered his senses and asked Arthur, "Should I come over to your dorm tomorrow and we can talk more over breakfast? I can make some pancakes for you two!"

Alfred looked over at his brother excitedly and said, "Seriously?! Dude, you're so awesome!"

A specific Prussian caterwauled out, "Did somebody say Gilbert?!"

The man rushed over and put his arm around Mattie and stated, "Vell, a little birdie told me zat you're making breakfast over at zis losers dorm!" Gilbert said as Gilbirb peeped happily and Arthur glared at him.

"Well, I don't see why not-" Matthew began, and Gilbert screamed, "Party at Alfred's!" The remaining countries in the room perked up as Arthur yelled back to Gilbert, "Absolutely no-"

"Yes!" Alfred yelled as the Prussian gave the American a high five.

"Shit..." Arthur muttered as he looked over at Matthew, who shrugged and replied, "Well, the more the merrier huh?"
