Questioning

Chase POV

I tried to comfort Skylar, because I really cared about her.
" Great, now what are we going to do?" She asks
" Don't worry the others will find us." I assure while trying to calm her down.

It was silent for a moment before Skylar broke the ice.
" Thanks, Chase. Thanks for saving me and thanks for comforting me." She says with a soft smile
" Of coarse" I reply
Suddenly a black gust of wind flew past us.
I quickly grab Skylar and pull her close. " What was that?" Skylar asks in fear
" I don't know." I say while holding her hand tighter. I felt something for Skylar and I didn't know what this feeling was, I just needed to protect her.
Another gust of black wind and dust rushed passed us.
I look to the floor and see some of the black dust. I trace my fingers over it, and I recognise something about it, I just couldn't remember.
" Chase what is it?" Skylar asks
" It looks like...." I start, but am cut of by a sudden explosion, in the concrete. I quickly jump in front of Sklyar and shield her with my force field, protecting us both from the tumbling wall.

Just as my for field collapsed a rock fell on my arm. I groan in pain as I collapse to the floor in agony. Sklyar quickly rushes to my side and kneels down next to me.
" CHASE, Are you ok!" Sklyar screamed while crouching down next to me.
I nod in response.
Suddenly a shadowy figure appeared out of no where wearing a black hoodie, covering her eyes.
" Who are you?" I cry while gripping my arm in pain
" Time will tell, Secrets revealed, all unfolds soon. Many things will happen" The figure said, before running off, without leaving any trace of who they were.
The concrete was now broken and we were able to get out.

Skylar quickly helped me up while I continued to hold my arm.
" Are you ok?" She asks again
" All good. A rock just fell on my arm. Who was that?" I question
" I don't know, come on we can't waste any more time. The tunnel is collapsing" Sklyar states, before we both rush out of the building.

We are met with Kaz, Bree and Oliver as we reach the outside of the tunnel.

" Guys, your ok. What took you so long? We were about to come find where you guys were." Bree says
I see the concern in Skylar's face as they question what took us so long.
" We had to rescue a few other people, but they are ok now." I say quickly so no suspicion is raised.
Bree nodded, before tracing her eyes to my injured arm.
" Chase what happened to your arm?"Oliver questions
" A rock fell on it while we were rescuing the people. It's ok, I just need to let it rest." I explain

Skylar remained quiet through out the entire conversation not saying a word.
" Skylar are you ok?" Kaz asks
Skylar is soon broken out of her hypnotised state.
" Yeah I'm all good." She replies while plastering a fake smile on her face.

" Ok guys lets get going. The authorities can handle it from here" Bree states, before we start to walk off. I glance back at the cave confused at who that shadowy figure was. I haven't told the team yet, but as soon as I got back to mission command I would.

" Chase are you coming?" Sklyar asks while resting her hand on my shoulder.
" Yeah come on let's go. " I say
"We should tell the team about the shadowy figure" Skylar says
" Yeah, we will as soon as we get back to mission command." I state

Penthouse

" Great job guys you saved everyone form the collapsing tunnel and there weren't any dramas." Mr Davenport says happily as we enter the room.
" Actually Mr Davenport, Chase hurt his arm, but other then that everything went great" Kaz explains while collapsing on the couch.

Mr Davenport approaches me and analyses the wound.
" It should be ok Chase, there is a chance there is a fracture in you arm, but your bionics will help it heal faster." He explains while moving my arm to test my reflexes
" Great" I say while sitting on the couch next to Skylar.
" So other then the injury, nothing else happened." Mr Davenport asks

Skylar and I both exchange worried glances.
" Actually Mr Davenport something did happen, while Chase and I were rescuing the last of the people trapped." Sklyar says
" What happened?" He questions confused
" We saw someone. They wore a black hoodie, which covered their face. The figure didn't say much just that 'Things will happen." I explain

Mr Davenport and all the others look at me with suspicious looks.
"Did  the figure look dangerous?" Oliver questions
" We couldn't tell, but I think we should all watch our backs.
The figure seemed to have some kind of super power but they left to quickly for us to get a good view of who the person was" I explain

" Ok guys till this person is found, everyone is on high alert. It could be another villain" Mr Davenport exclaims
" That's why you looked so dazed when we came out of the tunnel" Kaz says to Skylar

" YES. I was just curious and confused as to who that person was" she says while trying to stay as calm as possible
" Ok Guys go change out of our mission suits and just stay alert. Chase meet me in mission command, I will take a better look at your arm." He says

I nod as everyone leaves the room leaving me and Skylar alone.
" Hey are you ok?" I ask Skylar
" Yeah I just feel bad for lying." She says
I approach her and embrace her in a big hug.
" Hey don't think like that. Besides we told them what was important. I will help you with your powers." I explain
She rests her head on my shoulder

" Thanks Chase, but you have your own issues" she says while pointing at my arm
" Hey, a broken arm never killed anyone" I say with a smile
She laughs at me, before hugging me tighter.
" Thanks Chase" she says
" No problem" I say
She rushes off up the stairs to go change.
I sat in the room silently lost in my thoughts.
Skylar was someone I felt safe with and I would do anything to protect her. Every time I saw her, I would get this weird feeling in my stomach.
Maybe I like Skylar, I thought.
No, there is no way I could like Skylar.
Could I?

Oliver's POV
I forgot to bring my gear to my room and head back down stairs to get it. I come to a sudden halt as I hear and see Chase talking in private with some one.

" Yeah I just feel bad for lying." A voice says
Skylar. I thought of immediately
I look around the corner and see the 2 hugging.
" Hey don't think like that. Besides we told them what was important. I will help you with your powers." Chase says
Skylar rested her head on his shoulder

After that I kind of zoned out.
What did Chase mean by help Skylar out with her powers? What did Skylar mean by lying?
All these questions flood my mind. I hated seeing Chase and Skylar bond. Skylar was meant to be with me and only me. I heard footsteps coming closer to me. I quickly race up the stairs and hide in my room. I see Skylar pass by me smiling, she didn't recognise that I was there.

I had to tell Bree and Kaz that something was going on between Chase and Skylar, they were hiding something.
We need to find out what they are hiding!

Ok second chapter is up, and that took me forever to write. So what do you guys think. Good- bad. Oliver is now suspicious and Chase and Skylar are discovering their feelings for each other. Sorry about any grammatical or spelling errors, but I hope you guys liked it.
