I was young and folish when I fell in love
With a boy who had eyes like the Atlantic sea
We were young and folish, and we were in love
And that is all that mattered to me
What I would give to go back in time
Just to be folish again
I would trade the whole world, and the stars in the sky
Just for him to love me
It was 1/4 past 12 in the night
When he stumbled through the door
And he started yelling with all of his might
How he hated everyone, but especially me
And what I would give to go back in time
Just to be folish again
I would trade the whole world and the stars in the sky
Just for him to love me
I called it off the very next day
Packed all my stuff and ran
And he woke up to nothing but a letter
Saying about how I never want to see him again
For the next few years I traveled the world
Saw everything I could see
It wasn't until I was folish no more
That I realized I still loved the boy by the Atlantic sea
What I would give to go back in time
Just to be folish again
I would trade the whole world and the stars in the sky
Just for him to love me
I flew home on an early flight
And was greeted by family
I asked them about how he was doing
And they wouldn't look at me
Turns out that that boy with Atlantic blue eyes
Decided he couldn't live without me
He was still young and folish when he tied the knot
And swung from his neck.
I was young and folish when I fell in love
With a boy who had eyes like the Atlantic sea
We were young and folish and we were in love
And that is all that should have mattered to me
