Winter's POV

A harsh voice dragged me into alertness. I eased off the punching bag for a minute and turned. I'd been working all day, trying to escape the faces from yesterday's target. It could have gone so simply, but when he refused to talk, I had to kill his toddler, and oh, there is something wrong about killing children that no amount of electric convulsive treatment could erase.
"Winter Soldier, this is your new mission partner, Frostbite", Captain 0165, my missions handler at HYDRA, announces. The girl extends her hand for me to shake, but I can't think about being polite right now. There's nothing polite about this- My new partner is drop dead beautiful. I glance at her deep, gorgeous, green eyes and fall into them. Her luscious lips are just begging to be kissed, and oh, when she licks them I almost do. She was chaos and beauty interwoven.
"Soldier?" My revelries are interrupted by her voice. She retracts her hand slowly.
"I-I'm, I mean, you can just call me Winter", I stutter when you notice your handler has left the training room. Smooth, Winter. Real smooth.
"Call me Frost." As she starts stretching, the only thought you can pull from your scattered brain is that this is going to be one hell of a mission.

Frost's POV

Sparks, this jumpsuit was scratchy. You'd think HYDRA would spring for something a little more breathable for their new star assassin. Heaven knows they could afford it.
The door to the training room creaked open as Cap. 0165 led me into the arena. A tall, muscular soldier with- was that a metal arm? was going to town on the punching bag.
"Winter Soldier, this is your new mission partner, Frostbite." Cap. 0165 introduces us but I can hardly hear over the blood pounding in my head because, oh stars, this boy is beautiful. I stick out my hand to shake but oh, the way his eyes sparkled like storm clouds before the lightning bolt hit and his disheveled chestnut hair was just- I lick my lips to keep from drooling. Do something, for sparks sake, your hand is still suspended in air.
"Soldier?" Did you startle him? He looks surprised. Oh sparks, do I have blood on my face again? I didn't have a chance to shower after the quick kill this morning. It could have been cleaner, I admit. He struggled, declared his innocence, begged like a dog, the whole spiel. Have some dignity, for stars sake.
"I-I'm, I mean, you can just call me Winter." He stammers. Is he flustered? Did I fluster him? Drat. Now I have to force words from my suddenly dry throat.
"Call me Frost." I turn away and begin stretching so Winter won't see the blush creeping across my face. I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to train in the same room as this boy, let alone go out on missions with him.

From that first day in the HYDRA training room, whenever she looked at him, she would always see the wild, dark haired boy she fell in love with.
