Frost's POV

It was supposed to be a normal mission.  Winter and I would be driven in, we'd make the kill, we get out. We'd done it a million times.

We didn't even make it to the drop site.

I was sleeping in the transport vehicle.  I'd stayed up all night talking with Winter.  Again.  Stars, I felt like I'd spent my whole life waiting for him. Maybe I had. We understood each other perfectly.

I was awoken by a single gunshot. The car jerked and the driver slumped to the side. The case swerved and Winter instantly climbed to the wheel, shoving the body to the side.

"Frost, stay down!" He yelled.

Naturally, I climbed into the passengers seat. The black van with what I think was some bird painted on had stopped shooting. Instead, they were... Rolling down their window? A blonde guy with a fancy suit was eyeing Winter weird.

"Bucky?" He asked.

Winter's POV

I remember.

I remember everything.

I see his face and it comes back. I am Sergeant James Barnes, Unit 107. I grew up in Brooklyn. My best friend is Steve Rogers.

I turn to Frost.

"It's ok. He's a friend. He'll help us." I tell her.

She does not look convinced.

"He just shot our driver.  Do you want HYDRA to-"

"Trust me."  Her eyes widen, but she nods.  I pull the car over, and Steve follows suit.

"Bucky!  Climb in!  We're getting you out of here."  Steve calls.

"I'm not leaving Frost."

"Um.  Ok, but we've got to hurry.  HYDRA's sent cars after you already.  Natasha, we got room for one more?"  Steve asks.

I grab Frost's hand and pull her into the back of the van.  A buff dude with long hair and a huge hammer pulls the doors shut.  Huh.  That's a new one.
Frost looks scared.  I look around, and I'm scared too.  There's an red head, scientist, arrow guy, dude in fancy suit, someone in a bird costume, and a lady in a red cloak.

And, of course, there's Steve.  He hasn't changed since I saw him last.  I want to talk to him.  I want to tell him I never meant to leave him.  It wasn't his fault.

Most of all, I want to tell him how much I missed him.
