Voodoo
Some of you treat me like a voodoo doll.
Stabbing, burning, and talking behind me,
hoping that I won't notice it.
I notice it, but you don't know.
Others treat me like the plague.
But none of you know that I, myself,
was a voodoo queen.
I have made a doll for each of you
One for you Émilie;
For your doll has been stabbed in the back
And forced to puke, to try
Try and get rid of some of your fat.
One for you John
A liar you are
A cheat you have been.
For this only the best doll will do
You doll has gone as far to have you
put a knife to your own throat.
Ignoring a doll is not what a true,
righteous Voodoo queen does.
You see, she leaves no doll alone
While you ignore me
I fail to ignore you...
You may claim to see some strange
mystifying woman in your
dreams.
Please know that this is not just anyone
So you do some research
You find that the woman from your dreams
is a voodoo witch.
What does she want with me?
You may never want the honest answer to that question
Because I know I don't.
Jacqueline, poor sweet, innocent Jacqueline
You thought by becoming my friend would solve and magically fix everything
You were wrong.
It eventually fixed my assumptions about you.
You being the anorexic, revolting, animal that we humans have the decency to call a person.
You got inside my head, I will give you that
But by letting you in, I got into yours much easier.
You let me introduce these
horrendous habits to you, only for myself to be there to help you in the end.
But I will say this, always be on good terms with the Voodoo witch

PoetryHey guys, this is just kinda what's on my mind. Names in here don't refer to the actual person I'm talking about. I will put a trigger warning out there now, and probably again before each poem.
