Due to what that popular Queen Bee did to me, my reputation hardly dropped. I bit my lip, my ears perked up into hearing everyone talking about me, rumoring. I am glad that Trisha, Zoey, and Ryna don't believe the nonsense.
I realized it was lunch time. We all head out of the classroom and they began to run downstairs, probably like a race to the cafeteria. I took a glance at Trisha and Zoey, fixing their stuff and bringing out their lunchbox. While walking towards the canteen, my thoughts focused on the girl that warned me about this school, her words resonating in my head; I have to fix this.
"Um, earth to Emma?" Trisha was waving her hand in front of me, snapping back into reality. "You're not eating your food." My eyes looked down as I sliced a small potato, eating it. My appetite is losing because of everything.
Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice. "Hey Robert!" I turned around to see the 'cute guy' in my class. He was calling his friend, it made me stop.
I then look at Zoey. "Um, Zoey, who is he?" I asked, pointing my thumb at him. She plastered a wide smile, smirking; oh please, I'm just curious.
"His name is Ryan, known as the 'campus crush' in this school. Everyone in this school liked him, even the guys because of this cuteness, his shaggy hair and his smile that could melt a girl's heart." While Zoey was explaining, I can hear a hint of fangirling. "Oh, hold on a second. Do you have a crush on him?"
This made me uncomfortable, really. "Oh no, no, I was just curious." I sighed, taking on the decision on not telling her. I took another small bite of my food. "What kind of girls does he like?" I asked, out of the blue, without thinking.
"Honestly, he likes cute girls and cheerleaders like Angeline."
The mention of her name made me grip onto the potato strong, it being squashed in my hand, I let out a quiet growl. "I'm heading to the gym."
I stood up while they were eating, no goodbyes given. I first had to clean my hand before continuing.
I was able to reach the gym, finding a vacant seat where no one could see me. Noticing me would be a dreadful choice.
He was playing basketball with his friends, he did a slam dunk. I was amazed by his moves. Now, it felt like the whole world stopped, just me and him.
Unfortunately, I saw a flash, meaning that someone took a photo of me. "Oh my, drooling over my boyfriend, are you?" She asked, taking a step closer. I wiped the saliva that was by the corner of my mouth.
I wasn't sure what to think, she has a boyfriend? She's young, like 12 or 13! Kissing isn't allowed in this school. Before she could even slap me, I stood up and let her slap me, a loud echo throughout the gymnasium.
"... You might have won, but I'm telling."
Those were my last words, I walked away with my backpack, checking my phone.
