"Yo, wanna make a bet he doesn't do it?" Peyton asked.
"Shut up Peyton, he is going to do it." Devyn said trying to not worry me.
Instead of punching Peyton or disagreeing with Dev, I smiled.
I know Isaac was going to do it.
He promised.
We were all currently in the lobby room of the sports conference area watching the interviews on television. The football team were doing interviews just before their game. My smile grew as I seen Isaacs face flash across the screen.
Interviewer: "How's the season treating you so far?"
Isaac: "It's going good, I've never thought I'd make it this far but I guess I was just blessed."
Interviewer: "What do you mean by blessed?"
"Holy shit he's actually doing it." Peyton stared at the tv.
"Told you." Devyn remarked.
Isaac: "I mean I never wouldn't have made it here without having that special someone by my side--" I could tell by everyone's expression they were confused. "-- This girl is amazing, I know I said their wasn't anyone, but I lied for certain circumstances. But now that I realize it, that was one of my biggest mistakes."
Interviewer: "Does this special someone have a name?"
Isaac: "Jess. Her names Jess."
Interviewer: "Well Jess is a lucky girl."
Isaac: "No. I'd say I'm a lucky guy."
I smiled not being able to resist cheering, I jumped in the air. "Woo!" I grabbed a pillow from the lobby couch we sat on. "In your face, sucka!" I said continuously hitting Peyton with the pillow.
"Okay--okay!" She said using her arms to block the hits.
I let out a joyful sigh plopping back on the couch.
"Now that that's over, let's go find our seats." Devyn said getting up.
As the game began we all started to cheer; in the end we won, 42-7.
I smiled and eventually made my way down to the field. Isaac started to jog towards after dropping his helmet. Once we met he picked me up by the waist and spun around.
"You did it!" I shouted.
He stopped and I settled on my feet. He cupped my cheeks with both hands, "All thanks to you."
When our lips were centimeters away we were interrupted. "Hey Jess."
Isaacs smile slowly disappeared and was replaced with a scowl.
"Good game, Ray." I said grabbing Isaacs hand making sure he didn't do anything stupid.
"Maybe we should hang out sometime." Ray suggested with a playful smirk.
He was obviously trying to get under Isaacs skin. It was working, Isaac tightened his grip on my hand. I could tell he wanted to say or do something but tried so hard to resist.
