Jess POV//
"You are under arrest, you have the right to remain silent anything you say may be used against you in the court of law."
The police officer said pushing me against his squad car cuffing me.
"Whatever." I said smirking.

"I won!" I jumped up from the cold bench cheering. "Beat that Betty Crocker!" I yelled at the old grouchy lady.
"You cheated!" She said pointing her wrinkled finger at me.
"I don't cheat, I just win." I said just beating her in a game of checkers.
"This game is bull." She frowned.
"Mrs. Tater, it's time for you to go." Jeff said who was one of the deputies, he only looked about 24.
"See you next time Betty." I waved. "And try not to throw hot water on your husband again."
I sat back on the steel bench leaning against the white brick wall. I've been in here since last night and at this point I didn't even care.
"Jessie Russo." The deputy came back unlocking the cell.
I let out a sigh standing up.
"This is your fifth time in here this week, I'm starting to think you like me."
"In you're dreams." I said patting his shoulder. "So who's here? I'm kinda getting tired of James." I asked. "Is it Tupac? because that'd be cool. Beyonce? Obama? Cmon give me a hint." I said as he lead me out to the front.
I stopped. "Mark."
He stood there not saying a single word with his arms crossed and a disappointed look on his face.
Great.
I made my way towards him. "Long time no see!" I said playfully pushing his chest back. "It's been like three years!"
"And I was hoping it would've been longer. I got a call from James telling me this past week you've trespassed, vandalized the guys locker room, stole a car, beat a guy up, and you haven't been going to school."
"Old habits never die?" I said not meaning for it to come out as a question.
He sighed shaking his head. "What's going on Jess?"
"It's that time of the month." I lied.
"You're explaining this in the car, come on." He said leading me outside of the station to his car.
Once he started driving on the main road he repeated his question. "What's going on?"
"I don't wanna talk about it." I said staring out the window.
"You've been doing so good, three years Jess, you've gone three years without getting into trouble."
"I know." I sighed.
"Talk to me." He begged.
"It's Isaac."
"What about him? Aren't you two still together?"
"I don't know. He basically told national tv that he wasn't seeing anyone, he didn't care for that and he didn't want to be held down." I said remembering his exact words.
He let out a breath shaking his head.
"What?"
"You need to talk to him." He said.
"I don't wanna talk to him." I said looking back out the window.
The rest of the car ride was silent until we pulled up to James and Isaacs town home. "What're we doing here?"
"Relax. Isaacs not here." He said.
I got out of the car going to the front door, I opened it taking a step in and when I turned around Mark was driving off. "Hey!" I tried yelling.
The door shut and stood there was Isaac.
Instead of saying anything I walked up to the door reaching for the handle. He stuck his arm out against the door blocking me. I stared straight ahead.
"Can we talk?" He asked.
"No."
"Jess. . . I'm sorry."
"Move, Isaac." I said still staring straight ahead.
"Just let me explain!" He pleaded.
"I don't care! Okay! I. Don't. Care." I raised my voice.
"I didn't mean any of it." He muttered under his breath.
"Just let me go." I said.
"No."
"Isaac."
"No." He repeated.
I glared at the front floor still avoiding eye contact.
"Mark told me to say it." He finally spat out.
"What?" I said finally looking at him.
"He said it was to keep you safe, because there are people out there that still want to kill you. I couldn't let that happen, because I love you."
I sighed. "Isaac I don't care about that, let the whole world know, I don't care. People know I'm alive, some even know where I am. But I don't care about that."
"Well I do!" He raised his voice. He looked down." I care about you Jess. I'm not gonna let anything happen to you."
"You should've told me." I said.
"I know, I know." He said grabbing me and pulling me into a hug. "I'm sorry."
"Me too."
