"Tony...Tony!"
Tony grunted and sat up. Who woke him up? He had much more sleeping to do. His vision was blurry, but he saw a figure standing in front of him. The figure had blonde hair, and was tall and very muscular. He looked familiar. Tony rubbed his eyes in disbelief. It can't be, he thought.
"Steve?"
Steve smiled. "Yeah, Tony, it's me." He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Sorry to barge in on you like this, but--"
"What are you doing here? Where did you go?" Tony had so many unanswered questions, but Steve stopped him.
"I'm sorry, Tony. I'm sorry I left you guys alone to clean up the mess we made. I should have stayed and helped." Steve apologized. Tony tried to stand, but was still wobbly from the whiskey, causing him to fall forward. Steve caught him. "Whoa, have you been drinking?"
"Yeah..." Tony admitted sheepishly. He looked up at Steve. "So, you're back now?"
Steve smiled. "Yeah, I'm back." He proceeded to say more, but it was inaudible to Tony.
"Steve, Steve? I can't hear you!" said Tony.
Tony sat up with a jolt. He was confused and sweaty. He looked around. Where did Steve go? He wondered. He was just here.
He got up. It was dark out, compared to light when he passed out. Tony checked his phone. 3:17am. He groaned. He had a horrible headache, an after effect from the drinking.
He wandered down to the kitchen and grabbed a cup of water. He also grabbed a couple of aspirin from a cabinet. Tony gulped down the two together. He sighed, and went back to his room. He could try to get a couple more hours of sleep, although that was highly unlikely.
As he walked back to his room, Tony thought about his dream. What was it trying to tell him? What was Steve trying to say? He had so many unanswered questions. Tony laid on his bed, staring at the ceiling. He squeezed his eyes shut. He tossed, he turned, but his efforts were fruitless. He just couldn't sleep.
Tony sat up and leaned against the headboard of his bed. He grabbed a pillow and clutched it tightly to his chest.
"FRIDAY," he asked. "Who else is in the building?"
"There is currently no one in the building, sir, with the exception of yourself."
"Perfect..." Tony mumbled. He really was all alone.
