A week passed, and things began to fall back into normality. Ed was revving down on her and the rest of the costume crew for new costumes, while the actors enjoyed fucking around and getting hardly any work done. When she first walked back into the work space, she noticed how Mary kept sneaking glances her way. And when Camille asked her about it, all she said was 'Maddie'. Of course Maddie would've talked, the news that she and Matthew had gotten together was almost as big as the fact that Maddie's boss went into labor six months ago.

The two had flown back to Toronto late Sunday night, crashed at her apartment, and rode in to work together that morning. If anyone had noticed that, there hadn't been any mention of it yet. In fact, the day felt just like any other. Except for the fact that she felt happier than she could remember feeling in a long time, it was an ordinary Monday and business as usual.

"So you took my advice then?" Harry asked Camille as he changed behind the change curtain

"What advice, Harry?" Matthew asked, also behind a curtain as well. As were Alberto and Dom, all of them changing into their costumes for the next scene. Camille was leaning against her work desk, popping a few almonds into her mouth.

"I told Camille to—OW!"

Camille hucked one of her almonds at the thin sheet, and by the sound of it, nailed Harry in his hip. "You really don't want to fuck around with the girl who sews your pants properly, Junior," she said in a completely even tone.

"Uh, I told Cam to just get some rest. Take some stress off. Get a massage or... something during the break as a treat. You know, relax," he said, treading carefully.

"Oh," Matthew said, Camille could imagine the smirk on his face.

"Well, I'm sure Camille got plenty of rest over the weekend. Right, Cam?" Dom asked.

She felt her face getting hot. She nodded quickly, "Yeah,"

"I'm sure it was very relaxing," Alberto added. Camille hucked another almond at Alberto's sheet, but by the sound of it, she hit Dom instead.

"Ow! What was that for?" he asked.

"It was meant for Alberto. I don't always know who's behind which curtain," she replied.

"Speaking of, how'd your date with Maddie go, Al?" Harry asked.

"It was pretty great. I never met somebody who shared my love of tacos on the same level that I do," he replied.

"Girl does love her tacos," Camille said.

"I personally like Japanese food on a date," Matthew said.

"Kiss up!" Harry called.

The four curtains were pushed back, and Camille was suddenly looking at Jace Wayland, Alec Lightwood, Magnus Bane, and Simon Lewis. She looked them each over, then she smirked to herself.

"I am the luckiest woman in the world," she said.

"Hell yeah, you are," Matthew walked over to her, with his mischievous toothy smile. She almost asked him what he was up to, but she didn't get a chance as he leaned in and kissed her full on the lips.

"Don't make me pour cold water over the two of you," Dom said. Matthew flipped him the bird before he pulled away.

"Rest and relaxation my Asian ass," Harry smirked.

"Get out! Go! Go work!" Camille swatted at Matthew and the rest, and they ran for the door laughing.

Maddie, who had retrieved the four people she'd come for, gave Camille one last look with two thumbs up and then left the door fall closed behind her. She sighed and looked into the full-length mirror, and she was pleased to see she looked genuinely happy. The stress of controlling boyfriends had vanished, and Camille began to think that everything would work out perfectly.
