Gotta Go My Own Way

Jezi was sitting beside Jay in Chemistry. "Class you have a project due in two weeks. You will work with the person sitting next to you." The teacher said. "Great." Jezi said sarcastically. They turned toward each other. "I know your really mad. Please let me explain." "I understand. Audrey is prettier than me and she's a cheerleader. I had no chance in that fight. I'm sorry, but Carlos is my boyfriend now." Jay sighed then said, "Don't you see he's using you? The second Jane gets jealous she's gonna make a move and your history."

"You don't know what your talking about. Carlos really loves me unlike you did." Jezi replied beginning to tear up. "I'm here for you when Carlos leaves you. Remember that." Jay said then the bell rung and Jezi bolted out of the classroom.

Carlos and Jane were talking by their lockers, but didn't know Jezi was listening. "Carlos I can't believe I didn't see it before. I love you Carlos." Jane said. "But you have a girlfriend." "Jezi means nothing to me at all. I love you. She's just a ditzy princess." Carlos said. Then he kissed Jane on the lips.

Jezi into the forest crying. She ran all the way to the Enchanted Lake. She sat down in the middle of the cement circle thingy. She began crying her heart out.

✌ Meanwhile with Carlos ✌

Jay ran up to Carlos and separated him and Jane. Jay grabbed Carlos and pushed him up against the lockers. "What the heck man? How dare you hurt Jezi." Jay spat in Carlos' face. Carlos didn't say a thing. Jay threw him down and ran after Jezi.

✌ Back with Jezi ✌

Jay ran up to her and sat down. The second he did she put her arms around Jay's neck and began crying in the crook of his neck. He circled his arms around her waist. "Shhh. It's okay. I'm here. I'll always be here." Jay said softly calming Jezi down. Jezi moved her head to look Jay in the eyes.

"Why?" Jezi asked. "Why what?" Jay asked confused. "Why are you here for me after what I said to you?" Jezi explained. "Because I'm listening to my heart. And my heart....says that your the best person I've ever met. You're sweet, compassionate, loving, caring, honest, kind, loyal, generous, daring, brave, thoughtful, smart, beautiful, and basically the most incredible person I know. And my heart also says I love you. And that we belong together." Jay said.

"I love you too Jay. I really do, but you really hurt me. Kissing Audrey when I was your girlfriend. I don't know if I can trust you." Jezi said. A stray tear went down her face.
