Sally's POV

I walked around our new found community, well I guess home for now, looking for my boyfriend of two years, Carl. As I walked on the road, looking at the perfectly intact houses that line the side of the road, I was greeted by many waves and hellos from many different people, except for the one I truly wanted to be with. He's like my only friend, besides Enid. There's only two other teenagers here. Both boys, Ron and Mikey. I don't really talk to them, Ron is a son of a Porchdick (see what I did there! XD) and Mikey's just to weird for me. (Sry! Btw I have nothing against Mikey!)

After a couple pointless minutes of looking for Carl, I decided to go check our room in the house that we share with Rick and Judith. Yes, the adults don't have a problem with us sleeping in the same room. Me and Carl had already agreed we're not ready for the big, you know, we are only sixteen. The adults know this too. We've already had that talk.

I get to my shared house, taking my time in walking across the living room and over to the stairs. As I walk up each step, I hear some small creaks, but not coming from the floorboards. Carls here. I smile to myself and hurry the process of getting to him, wanting to talk and cuddle with him on our bed. I stand in front of the door, my small smile never leaving my face. I'm super excited. We haven't been able to spend much time with each other recently. We've both been doing our duties that Deanna had given us and we usually only get to be with each other at night, where we cuddle and talk about our days before falling asleep.

I open the door quickly, ready to take a step but then stop, as my smile drops to the floor where my unshed tears will soon be joining. Carl and Enid, lay there, locking lips in the most disgusting manner. They still haven't noticed I've entered and my tears start to come loose until a sob racks at my throat and releases into the thick air. The two stop kissing and look over at the door, where I'm standing in a puddle of sadness. Carls face instantly envelopes with intense guilt as Enid begins to smirk.

I thought she was my friend. I thought he was my best friend and boyfriend.

I've only known Enid for a little over two months but we've gotten so close. She had opened up to me about her family and what happened when she was alone before Alexandria. What she went through and how she got over her parents death. About how she had to eat a turtle, which we both had a little laugh about how awful it tasted.

I had told her about my past and what happened to my family. My dad, how he died from a group member. My mom, how she had died at child birth. I had told her so much and she had always been there for me. She didn't seem like she would do anything to me like this. She always seemed so nice and sweet but now I realize she's just a snake who tries to steal her friend's boyfriend.

And Carl. My love, Carl. We have known each other at child birth because of how close Rick and dad had been. We'd been best friends since we were two and we had developed a crush on each other when we were in the fifth grade. When the apocalypse started, I had tried to make him feel happy when he thought his dad was dead. And when we found out Rick had killed my father, he was there to cheer me up. I had helped him move on from Loris death. We'd been through everything together. And then at the prison, when we were fourteen, he asked me out, saying I was the only girl he ever liked. Guess that changed. He was my first and only boyfriend. We had our first kiss together. Our first make out. And he threw that all down the drain, letting all the memories drown and wash away, kinda like what my tears are doing to me right at this moment.

"Sally." Carl pleaded, pushing Enid off of him, not even paying attention to her almost falling on her ass.

"Don't. Carl." I whimper, taking steps back, stumbling with each step I took. I felt like I was gonna faint.
