+ Christina's POV +

Carl came back late, I would say about 12 or 1 in the morning. Him and Beth were trudging over the concrete for the last time, they sat the boxes down and he instantly walked to me, engulfing me in his arms.
We were both tired, him because he had been carrying very heavy boxes of food, ammo, and other things, and I because I had been helping make sure the bus was alright to take- making sure it wouldn't break down.
So Carl and I walked to the back and sat down, myself leaning against the window, and he had set his head in my lap, laying down, and propped his legs across the isle, his feet sitting on the seat across from us.
He's asleep now, as I play with his hair, Beth and Marie are in the front seats, Glenn and Maggie in the seats diagonal from us, and the rest of everyone are outside fighting the governor.
"Hello? Anyone up?" I hear a voice and I peak my head up to see Rick.
"Yeah Rick, back here," I whisper.
He walks back to me and Carl, his boots making it hard to be quiet.
He smiles at me, which I return, and he begins speaking.
"They are playing it tough out there. They have guards keeping watch," he sighs before continuing, "our best chance is wait to while the guards are switching shifts, and bomb them. Once they are scrambling we can get in and go- drive as fast as we can and pray to god it's fast enough."
I nod, understanding.
"A bomb for a bomb." I whisper.
He grins and nods, "Yeah. So I need to go back and fight, I'll be back soon okay?" I nod and he leaves, with his gun up.
I sit for some more, playing with Carl's hair lightly as he sleeps harder than I've seen in a while.
I move Carl's head from my lap, causing him to groan in objection.
"I need to pee." I say, causing him to grumble and move. I smile and his feet fall to the floor, bent. He passes out cold, snoring loudly. I roll my eyes and walk into the bathroom, the small one person storage compartment.
I use the bathroom, and wash my hands- to my surprise-, and fixing my hair as well.
I walk out quietly and something catches my eye. I turn my head and look out the window, seeing something shine. I identify it as a tag on a dogs collar, I see that the dog is very beautiful- and alive- I gasp almost inaudibly and swiftly yet silently walk down the hall of the bus, and off of it.
I walk around it and walk towards the dog, and it stands quietly, not scared of me.
I hesitantly approach it, sort of freaked out that the dog hasn't done anything. It begins to pant and wag its tail, making me smile. He walks over to me and stands in front of me, looking up.
I peer down at him, looking into his eyes and seeing that they aren't a dialated red or anything. I stand for a moment, shocked over the fact that there is an alive dog. I gasp as I saw that the dog's eyes were two different colors, one blue and one a sort of clear color- which scared and amazed me at the same time.
