Tink, Tink, Tink, rain taps the ground in a soothing rhythm. I'm walking home after a long day of school, but something's wrong, there's footsteps behind me and they're getting closer. Step after step I speed up until I get to the point where I'm running, eventually I run myself into a dead end. I turn around to see the shadowy figure is getting closer, when suddenly, beep, beep, beep.
My alarm clock goes off and open my eyes to see the rough white ceiling I always wake up to. "Hey it's time to wake up you're gonna be late for school!" I hear my sister sam screech from the kitchen. I throw off my blanket and dash across my room looking for something to wear. My outfit ends up looking like we skipped laundry day: a sky blue T-shirt with pink hearts and purple flowers dotting every inch and black leggings with cat faces on it. I slowly make my way to the kitchen. "morning sleepy head." My mom says sweetly. I pour a bowl of Frosted Flakes and flop down into a chair,
"mornin"
"is something wrong?" My mom says with worry in her voice.
"Its nothing, I'm fine just tired." I answer a little less grumpily. I finish my cereal and make my lunch when,
"Rose, Kory's here" Sam yells just loud enough for me to hear. I grab my bag and run to the door. Kory has long dark brown hair and is wearing a black hoodie and leggings, like always. I capture her arm and drag her out of the house as fast as possible. Once outside I let go of her hand and she looks at me questioningly. "1, what are you wearing, and 2, why the heck did you drag me out of the house?" kory asked, sounding annoyed.
"I couldn't find anything else to wear also I didn't want my sister to see my outfit." "Huh, I can't see why." Kory exclaims, sarcastically. No more words were shared until we got to school. "see you in third period!" Kory yells while running to her first class. I wave and run to L.A, my first class.

By the end of the day I am sitting where me and Kory normally meet to walk home after school. It's 3:30 and there is still no sign of Kory. I glance around to find that I'm completely alone. Well almost alone, one person, standing behind a tree. It takes me a minute to figure out that they are watching me. I act like I don't notice them and start walking home. It begins to rain, I feel like this has happened before, but i can't figure out where or when. Then I hear footsteps that aren't mine, that is when I realise this all happened in my nightmare. I start to run but not to my house, no this time i run to the school, to find Kory.
