I continue to walk towards my apartment. I couldn't stop laughing, like, what the hell just happened? Some guy from some famous boy band came to see me sing. I'm baffled, really. I put the house key in and turned, my sister was on the couch watching television. I set my stuff by the door and positioned myself in front of the television set blocking her view.
"What're you doing? Watching tv at midnight? Really Ashley?" I ask.
"I can do whatever I want Audrey, I'm twelve now." She said as she rolled her eyes at me.
"Ashley, you're like twelve, where on the other hand I'm nineteen. So go to bed."
"You're so annoying. God, I hate you." She said as she got off the couch.
"You know what will make you hate me more?" I ask.
"How could I hate your guts even more, is that even possible?"
"Liam from that band you like so much came to see me sing."
"No way you're a fucking liar." She said.
"Watch your mouth, Ashley. But, yep it's all true."
"I don't believe you, if you really saw him you'd be a good sister and bring him home to meet me. After all he is my future husband."
I began to laugh and she closed her bedroom door with a slam. Kids these days, seriously, what's with this generation? I mean my crush on Johnny Depp in 4th grade wasn't this bad. I notice the computer is still on so I sit down and open up the web browser. I began to type into the search engine and came across pictures of Liam. I mean, I wouldn't call myself a total fan of the boy band but Liam is kind of cute. It looks like I'm really missing out.
Maybe he came for a reason, maybe it's finally my chance to become an actual artist, a chance to get my name out there. Wait, that sounds completely selfish of me, stealing from other people's success. Whatever, I put my hands in my pockets and found my cigarettes and lighter. I lit a cig and inhaled, and exhaled. Some people might say me smoking is completely disgusting and well, I completely agree with them. I don't like the menacing glares in public and the smart asses coughing as they walk by. I know it's not healthy but hey I have an addiction and an unsupportive family and broken dreams, cut me some slack.
I turn off the computer and head straight for my bed and just collapsed ontop. I open my eyes and I start groaning since the sun was practically blinding me thanks to my curtainless window. I pick up my phone from the bedside table to see what time it is. It's about four o'clock in the afternoon. How long did I stay up? My sleeping schedule sucks. I try to sit up but my attempt was not enough so I stay laying down on my bed like an emotionless patatoe. Someone opens my door and yells out my name. I look towards the door and it's mom in her apron.
"Audrey! Why were you still asleep?" She asked.
"I uh- don't know." I stammer.
"Well, I wanted to talk to you," she calmed down a little bit.
