Now conciously feeling the softness that he wrapped in his arms, Galen almost buried his face in the silky hair that he is carresing to completely absorb the femininity underneath him.
Sensing the sobbing subside, he stopped stroking Sofia's hair.
Sofia found her arms clutching the shirt in Galen's chest. Her face started to redden when she realized that she was letting herself be comforted by a man she barely know.
Extricating her arms from Galen, she straightened up in the seat and composed herself.
"Sorry, I don't know what came over me. Must be the events taking its toll..." she said.
"Its alright." he replied. " You just wait here, I will leave you for a while to prepare the guest room so that you can properly rest then."
" But, but... I still want to go home. I don't want to impose myself on you."
" Sofia, can we just drop the matter for tonight and talk about things in the morning. I'm sure you're tired." Galen told her with an almost exhausted expression. He then turned his back to go to what she thinks is the guest bedroom.
After a few minutes, he returned and unceremoniously gathered Sofia once again. Too tired to argue and almost drowsy from the medications the doctor gave her, Sofia did not give any protest anymore.
The next thing she knew , it was already morning when she woke up in an unfamiliar room. Disoriented, she tried to recall yesterday's events. And then it all came to her when she tried to move.
"Now, what..." she thought. She cannot indeed do this by herself. She is indeed an invalid. Well, just for the next few days anyway.
Well, how does she do this. Should she call on Galen for assistance or ...
Her thoughts were interrupted when Galen entered the room and went directly to the windows to open the blinds. Her breath was then caught in her throat.
