You and Kankri locked eyes for a moment and he held his stare for a good ten seconds. He looked away blushing at his food. What's up with him? You continued to eat your food while Kankri just sorta sat there. Motionless. Silent. The signless watched you two being awkward towards each other and spoke. "Uhhhhhhh... S9... What are s9me 9f y9ur h9bbies, (y/n)?" you looked up, not hearing the question. ".... Huh?...." Karkat face palmed with both hands and answered for you because it was slightly embarrassing. "SHE'S INTO (insert favorite anime/hobbie/show/band/celebrity)...," he looked at you with that evil grin again.

What the hell is up with you, Karkat???

Your thoughts where once again cut off by the mention of food. "S9, h9ws the f99d? Is it t9 y9ur liking?" you nodded and smiled politely back at him. He gave you a bright grin on return.

Jegus is on your side...

He switched looks with you and kankri, then gave you a questioning look on his face. You blushed and turned away as he smiled acceptingly and continued eating. For the rest of the time that you ate, there where no more words. It fell silent and without him knowing you looked at the one you now flush for and smiled.

As you thought he didn't know you did this... He secretly smiled back... Feeling flushed for you too.

He twiddled his thumbs and looked at karkat who have him a respectful smile. Karkat then looked at you and saw you doing the same. You immediately look up at Kankri who has a full on smile now. You stared at his blank and beautiful eyes. He blushes once more and his smile had turned into a worrisome frown. He mouthed something to you. You could barely make it out. But you got what he tried to tell you...

"I think I may be flushed for you"

That's all you needed.

You asked to be excused to go to the bathroom. When you got there you composed yourself and then lost it. You squealed so loud the vantas family could hear it from downstairs.

Kankri smiled as he heard your happiness.

Karkat smiled as he saw kankri's happiness.

The signless laughed and chuckled, not even knowing what happened.

You came back downstairs to see a blushing Kankri. He's absolutely admirable and adorable. You wanted to hug him. But you wanted to wait until Karkat and the signless couldn't see you.

You wanted privacy.
