"See you Monday." Susan, the secretary at the job, said as I walked out of the door.
I sent back a warm smile before leaving out of the doctors office.
I had just finished checking out my doctors room, and the other workers there. I liked it so far, so hopefully it would last until I eventually started to build my own office.
I hopped into my car and sent Odell a quick text, letting him know I'm on the way.
As 'Uber Everywhere' by Trill $ammy blasted through my speaker, I started to get lost in my thoughts.
Eventually I pulled up to 'Joans', a local restaurant owned by a family friend. I searched for Odell's car, but I didn't see it.
I just stayed in my car letting music play lowly.
After about 5 minutes of waiting, I seen a blacked out G-Wagon pull up. Lord, I wanted one badly.
It pulled up right beside me as I stared at all of it's nice features.
Seconds later, Odell hopped out.
"Cute." I mumbled before getting out the car and walking over to him.
"Hey ma." he smiled pulling me into a hug.
"Hey, I love your truck." I said letting go of him.
"Thank ya'." he smiled showing his pretty teeth. "You look nice."
"Not looking to bad yourself." I smiled as we walked to the entrance of the restaurant.
We walked into Joan's and literally nothing had changed except different flowers and more decorations, but the set up was still the exact same.
I went to the spot I would usually sit at when I was in high-school while Odell followed.
"You remember this booth, huh?" he smirked.
"Yes." I laughed shyly. "So many memories in this place."
"Like you and Justin Dixon making out all the damn time." he laughed.
I nodded and laughed. "Or that time me and Britt started fighting, so you and Mrs. Joan had to break us up."
He laughed and nodded. "Them were the good days."
"You right." I said watching the waiter approach us.
She took our drink orders before walking away.
"So, what how was North Carolina?" he asked, crossing his arms and leaning back into the booth. He had a intense stare on his face that made him look even better.
